Very New to Making Builds - and Very Stressed! Need Help With SS/WP

Hi everyone. I tried my best to make a build for SS/WP that wouldn't have endurance issues and would hit the soft caps. It was a colossal failure. Ultimately, I have no idea what I'm doing, and it is really stressing me out.

 

Basically, what I'm asking for here, is for someone to provide a really nice SS/WP build that I can aspire to. I have essentially nothing to provide, as my prior efforts were an unmitigated disaster. And don't even get me started with incarnate slots and epic pools. I just really, really need help.

 

Anything would be so so so appreciated.

Fisrt: Hey, it's ok, we all have to learn as we go. Build planing should be fun. If you're getting stressed by it, take a step back, do something else, and come back to it later. It should never be a stressor.

 

Second: If you have concerns on Endurance, the best recommendation would be to slot your attacks for end reduction as much as you can with the sets you're using. Don't worry about end reduction in your toggles so much. Especially your main armor toggles. Your attacks will burn way more end per second than your toggles ever do.

 

Third: So other than soft-capped defense to all, is there anything else you're trying to get? What kind of budget are you working with? Because people could certainly give you a build for what you want, it just might also be very expensive.

I'm looking for a build that will enable me to farm and be helpful to a team without sucking all my endurance and being incredibly sad.

 

I'm also looking for general power selection (especially the epic/patron pools and incarnates). I'm very undecided on these.

 

Going back to my original intent, I want to be able to farm influence for my friends so they can build whatever they want. Obviously, I'll work with whatever budget. I just need the defenses soft-capped first, and to have respectable damage.

 

Anything is better than what I have now, so I'm totally open to all suggestions!

not how i'd do it -- my Brute WP builds focus on getting to 'decent' defense with very high hp and regen -- but here you go.  softcapped all but psi, capped s/l resist as well, 5 slots left to finish out an attack.

Is quick regen + recovery rather than solid defenses a good way to farm?

 

Depends on what you're farming.  Here's a rough build for what I might be more inclined to try.  The defense loss is noticeable but not catastrophic; it should outheal pretty much all incoming damage.  I think I could probably tweak it to be 'functionally softcapped' with Rise to the Challenge's debuff, as well.

 

but to be honest -- anymore, i'd assume a farmer is running a strong enough Judgement and Lore that build specifics verge on irrelevant.
