Sound files

Should be a quick question, but I'm not sure exactly how to do it.  Crystal Armor in Stone Armor really grates me because the sound just loops forever.  I know you can just place a silent sound in a directory somewhere to stop this from happening.  So, my question: what is this directory (I'm using the Homecoming Launcher) and what do I need to name the file?
