I have a Dual Pistols/Trick Arrow Corruptor and I'm seeing what appears to be a problem with the Poison Gas Arrow power. I understand that the the sleep effect "pulses" every few seconds, but minions in the sleep field are waking up far more often than statistically probable. Even with a 95% chance to hit, most same-level minions will wake up after one or two ticks and move or attack, and then fall back asleep. It's almost like something is waking them all up, but even after removing all procs and Incarnate powers, the problem persists. And I've tried this with a variety of enemy groups, so it's not just that a particular group is resistant.

The net effect is that the sleep effect is almost useless because nobody stays asleep, and can still move and attack, albeit less often. If I attack at range, after a few tics most minions are able to take a few steps and move out of the sleep field entirely.

Even if the power makes a separate roll to hit every three seconds, every minion seems practically guaranteed to wake up within 3-5 tics, which doesn't track with the 95% hit chance. And then once they've "woken up" in this fashion, they seem to be awake more often than they're asleep.

So, I think the deal here is that the effect pulses every 2.5 seconds, but the sleep lasts a (base) of 1.49s. Against +3 critters, that's cut to 65% of base, so about 1s, which means you're never going to be able to keep +3s asleep.

So yeah, it's basically impossible to keep things slept with that. No idea if that's intended - it seems kind of silly to me.

Oh, yeah...against +3s it's basically useless. Even against +2s it isn't pretty. But I put a full set of Call of the Sandman there to test and even +0 critters were exhibiting the behavior I mentioned above. I'm hoping that's a bug...

Wait, Corruptor. I looked at Defender stats. 🤦‍♂️

The base for Corrs is a whopping 1.192s. So even at ED "caps", you're looking at like 2.4s, so yeah, even even-level critters will wake up briefly.

Aha, well that explains the behavior I'm seeing, at least. Well-spotted, thanks!

Though I'm still calling it bugged...I find it hard to believe that a fully-slotted power that's largely ineffective against +0 minions was the intent by design...
