Primary for rad armor

Hello to brute community 

 

I'd like to play a rad armor brute but dunno which primary i could take. 

I fist wanted to do psychic melee but some people said it was heavily resisted high lvl. My second choice was energy but seems it has been nerfed ?

I just don't want to be fire / SS / spines because already have toons with those sets.

Psi Melee is actually really good on Incarnate Trials, as well as the Dr. Kahn TF and Barracuda SF.  Energy Melee has far from been nerfed.  It's now the top single target melee damage set.  IMO, you can't go wrong with either Psi Melee or Energy Melee.
