Hi all,

 

Have finally decided to roll a Crab and have been messing around with a build I found a year or so ago, and so far have arrived at the following mess. Can some kind soul have a look over it and share some suggestions please?

 

I would like to keep my positionals at the softcap, and have perma hasten and pets. I'm a bit of a Mids noob and am not sure how to figure out if I've hit perma or not.

 

I like Channelgun, Supression, Venom and Frag, emphasising the backpack over any other source of damage.  Not fussed about Longfang.

 

I took Mu Lightning and slotted it up because I was worried about ST damage (and it looks cool), but that might be spreading my butter too thin and perhaps I should focus on AoE, Defence and Pets. I was hoping to use Electrifying Fences to keep mobs in place and slot it up all nice for procs but haven't been able to find the slots for it, I'd be more than willing to steal them from Mu Lightning.

 

I think I need more slots in health and stamina.

 

I'd like both defence auras and the resist aura in the pets I think.

 

Superspeed is fun.

 

Omega Manuver would be nice but I think it's just a dream at this point, and it isn't useful enough to sacrifice anything else.

 

Please help.

Omega Maneuver is a waste of a slot (IMHO). The damage is not high enough to justify the long activation time and cooldown time. I had OM on my own crab, but stopped using it entirely - it doesn't do anything for you that you can't get better/faster/easier from your normal attack rotation. So you can go ahead and demote Omega Maneuver from a Dream to... well, to whatever is a few rungs down the ladder from Dream 🙂

 

Re. defence and resist auras for pets: Yes, better to have them than not have them. But even with both pet auras running, you should still expect to actively tank for you pets. They are too fragile and too kamikaze to stay alive for long unless you draw aggro from them.

Here is how you can tell if it's perma or not:
First activate the power by lighting up the green dot on the right, then look at the duration/recharge values.

Here is the build I am currently playing. I used to play with the Mu Striker pet but I respeced out of it because it frankly was too much of an investment: it along with all the other pet slotting for +def and +res auras for what it was doing (IE: not much). I only even 6 slotted Call to Arms here because I needed the AoE Def bonus.

For attacks, I spam the AoE powers Venom > Suppression > Frag
For Single Target I only ever use Mu Lightning and Longfang, they recharge fast enough to only use those two (with venom grenades thrown in for -res ofc) Channelgun is there to mule the set and for when I do low level content and Mu Lightning is unavailable
