i'm torn between 2 build ideas:

 

Both are pretty similar, /time pulls slightly ahead in def/res, acc, and end usage, it buffs the team and gremlins more. Distortion field is nice for loading up with procs and that additonal hold chance which is great with Lockdown: Chance for +2 mag hold. Temporal Selection on a gremlin could be funny.

 

/rad has harder hitting debuffs and has better access to -regen which time lacks. Choking Cloud is there mainly as a set mule but would be amusing to see Conductive Aura + Chocking Cloud + World of Confusion.

 

Both have pretty much the same end recovery but /rad will be more end intensive. I think overall im leaning more towards /time but im just not sure.

I have tweaked around with my elec/time build somewhat:

 

S/L res are just capped, with Power Boost all def is capped. I need a bit more clarity on that though as power boost increases the def provided by Hover and Weave but because they are toggles i think when the effects of power boost ends the boosted def from them ends. Obviously that wont effect Farsight which wil bring the total def down to 41% which is fine considering i have PB down to 24 sec rech.

 

The slotting in Conductive Aura and Chrono Shift are purely for set bonuses but i also wanted to see how Power Transfer: Chance to Heal Self will proc in CA.

 

Synaptic Overload is a strange power as its not really so much of an aoe. You fire the power at an enemy and it jumps between the adds like Jolting Chain. As such i wanted to test the application of damage procs in it and see how effective it is. The confuse duration is negligible at this point as everything will typically be dead before it expires. The 3 Superior Will of the Controller are there for the proc and the set bonuses.

 

Slowed Response has minimal slotting, if the target is effected by Time Crawl and you have Power Boost up SL will do -63.98% def which is pretty hefty. -27% res plus the chance for an additional -20% res from the Achilles proc.

 

Temporal selection for the gremlins for extra dmg and survivability.

 

Id like to try World of Confusion but i ultimately think this build will be better.

So i have another variant of the build and i think im going to stick with this one perhaps.

 

Slightly less defence than before but with Clarion Radial Epiphany and Power boost applied to Farsight that bumps the defence up past cap.

 

Hasten is at 124.7s rech and Chrono Shift is at 102.5s, but im hoping that the Force Feedback procs in Jolting Chain and Energy Torrent will be enough to push the rech to perma as i will be spamming both powers.

 

I went with Spirit Ward over Arcane Bolt purely because i didnt have any slots to make bolt viable. I likely wont even put ward on my hotbar. The only reason for taking Sorcery is for Enflame. With procs it hits like a truck!

 

Slightly out of context but does anyone know how often Gaussian's Synchronized Fire-Control: Chance for Build Up will trigger in Tactics?

In my leveling of the character i did take it at 35, i just messed up in mids.

 

I've not tested Distortion field with the procs yet to see how often they hit. Have you at all?

This could work. The force feedback procs take Slowed Response rech down to 22s which is fine. I have read somewhere on the forums that its applications dont stack.

Yup, I've run them through my parser a good few times. Procs are one reason I wrote an online Log Parser. The proc rates on "patches which act like wide-area toggles" is sadly poor. Proc rates on anything you drop which then spams attacks (things like Volcanic Gasses or Creepers) can be good, depending on how many of the pseudo-pets attacks can trigger it. 

 

Ditto for low recharge, large AOE powers I'm afraid. Procs aren't great in AoE immobs for example. Decent in Jolting though (because its "single target" each jump). 

 

Enflame is okay for procs. Not amazing but just about worthwhile (honestly Controller Enflame should be doing containment damage given the damage rate it was given). Enflame is very good DPA though, especially if you are fighting something very tough (like an AV). It's really, really good in the Summer Blockbuster arena for example and most controllers always have a target for it in their pet. 

 

If you proc up Synaptic (the confuse) with damage procs it will alert things when the damage procs go off. That kind of borks one use of it (applying it before the combat starts and letting it percolate through the spawn).

 

Arcane Bolt > Sorcery Flight > Enflame & Conserve Power > Torrent > Temp Inv > Power Boost might work better for you given Arcanes ability to "crit" / "power up". Would also give you a Blast much earlier in the game (Elecs damage sucks).

They don't. But they do replace each other and can be chained. This is actually better than they used to be where Trigger 1 would block it retriggering for 10 seconds. That was done away with. Now you can cast 1 power with it, do 1 or 2 other things then cast the 2nd and (hopefully) extend / reapply the buff. Some builds leverage this (Energy blast "mad king" builds).

Yeah i often just drop the procs in aoe immob on trollers because the chance to hit is like 10% or something so i usually allocate the slots elsewhere but with Elecs dmg being low i wanted to try get as much out of it as possible. 

 

I wanted to load Synaptic up with procs just to see how often it would work really and of course add in more dps. I want to experiment with it more but i might just swap it out for 5 coercive persuasion later on.

 

THB i had considered Arcane bolt over Power blast. I just wish the cast time was faster with AB.
