Relvinian
I'm wanting to mostly solo content with a little internal roleplay perhaps. ^^ I made a toon named Master of Flowers which will be a Willpower Spines tanker. I have not seen any builds for that and I was hoping someone could throw something together who knows the ins and outs. Simple is good. Easy is good. Cheap is good. It's all about lowering expectations ^^ Thanks! Background of the toon--- Magic origin. Left Circle of Thorns. Xandyr
It's kinda hard to be "cheap" anymore. Especially since the Tanker IOs, and Winter sets, give such great bonuses. I'm playing a WP/Staff tank and I REALLY like him. I skipped Resurgence and Strenfth of Will. Try to slot at least 2 or 3 Numina's in all your healing powers (+12% Regen, 3 pieces also give you +35HP). I was able to soft cap Fire/Cold/Energy/Negative Energy defenses, and about 88% Smash/Lethal resistance on my WP/Staff. A fully slotted RttC gives me about 160 HP/Sec. Hard to die with those kind of numbers. I'll be jumping on my PC later, and I'll play around in mids for "good, cheap" build. 1 What you wanted to know about Bio, but never asked - Tanker - Homecoming (homecomingservers.com)
Xandyr
I did use one set of the Superior Might of the Tanker...imo that set is just too good to pass up. I also used some LotG, some procs, but tried to stay away from any other purple or PvP sets. This build gives you soft capped F/C/E/N.E defenses, capped S/L Resistance (with 1 application of the SMotT proc), and a regeneration rate of 91.31 HP/Sec with one mob in range of RttC. Maybe you can use this as an idea? On my WP/Staff I spent some ludicrous money...but I wanted to get that toon as indestructible as I could (especially since it's about the only tank I've played in a while). As far as Incarnates, that's obviously personal preference. I will say that for my Alpha, I tried Vigor (adding even more Regeneration), then I tried Musculature. I think I like Musculature more. The added damage helps, and the -to hit debuff stacks with RttC. Do I miss saying I am regenerating at 178 HP/sec? Yeah. Do I still survive on a "measly" 157 HP/Sec? Absolutely. Either way, have fun with it. I've found WP to be a VERY nice Powerset. I want flight so convenient. You could swap out Combat Jumping and Super Jump for Hover and Fly. Hover burns more endurance, but Willpower should be swimming in endurance. If you only want flight for convenience, and not for concept, you could buy jet packs from the pay to win vendor in Atlas Park. They're relatively cheap, so that's what I do for my otherwise earthbound characters. But yeah, should be no problem swapping in flight instead. I don't let the minor endurance difference dissuade me if I decide I want flight on a character. And welcome to the game!
