Mash that when you start drifting? But if you adjust your camera so that you're "looking down" slightly, any movement you do will also be in that direction. That will at least keep you close to grounded. There's no way to stop it in Nova form but Quantum Maneuvers will stop it complete in human form. I just utilize the drift as part of my Nova combat style and keep the form moving around.
