Fan Mail Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Was just playing fine last night. Am now getting this error after I launch client, login, select a server, it hangs then eventually errors with Can't Connect to DBserver. I've verified files, no dice. I was going to attempt to uninstall/reinstall the HC Launcher but the link in the forum guide isn't resolving for me. DNS issue? https://manifest.cohhc.gg/launcher/hcinstall.exe
Fan Mail Posted February 22, 2022 Author Posted February 22, 2022 Sounds like there's an issue at ISP level, being CenturyLink. So standing by...
Corythia Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 I also have Century Link and can't log in.
Marine X Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 This may or may not help, but if you are comfortable getting in your router or modem it is worth a try. Log in to router and change the DNS Servers for your Internet. 1) Document the DNS Servers you are currently using so you can go back if it does not help. 2) Change to well known DNS, easiest would be Google: Primary 8.8.8.8, Secondary 8.8.4.4. 3) Test the connection, if it works you are good to go or if not you can return to the original settings. Good Luck. " When it's too tough for everyone else, it's just right for me..." ( Unless it's Raining, or Cold, or Really Dirty or there are Sappers, Man I hate those Guys...) Marine X
Fan Mail Posted February 22, 2022 Author Posted February 22, 2022 I manually tried changing DNS on my network adapter to Google DNS servers and that didn't work. Also tried at modem level as that's doing my DHCP. Same issue. Thanks for the suggestions.
Fan Mail Posted February 22, 2022 Author Posted February 22, 2022 And just now, it magically started working. 2

Harestrike Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 I'm back in as well. They must've knocked the clog loose. 1
