Arachnos Widow ITF Solo Build

Recommended Posts

This is the Arachnos Widow build I'll be using to solo ITF at 0/8.

Or, something very similar.

Thanks to Stich for giving me some perspective on this one. Good Lord, I wish I could find your "@" tag...

This is a build without figuring in the Incarnates. As it stands, in the mortal realms, it's got 82.65% Melee Defense, and, for one out of three minutes, it has 85% Res to 5 categories, with some stellar resists versus all else.

Once the Incarnates are factored in, and with the addition of Accolades, this becomes a satisfying build.

The issue that Stich had was that, without pets, AVs were difficult.

I have to LOL at that, because I've seen Stitch play in PVE, and nothing was ever difficult.

However, taking that sage advice into consideration, I devised a hybrid that could evolve the DPS (old term) such that, even without Incarnates, it would be enough to hypothetically wipe most AVs.

We'll see about that. I'll go ahead and post such that anyone with the new MIDs can check out the insanity for themselves.

As for my plot to Rule the World... we'll just have to see how much I have to cheat in order to get the rest of the ATs ready to defeat the ITF at a simple 0/8. Only the VEATs, the HEATs, and a lone MM elude me at this point.

I have made a couple of test runs at 4x8 ITFs with my Night Tank build.

I have not completed the whole thing yet. At 0x8 you shouldn't have a lot of issues.

These were the 4x8 issues I ran into:

In my tests toHit was an issue due to all the stacked defense, so use your stealth to pick off small groups.

Keep an eye on eye on your defense, if you do engage a large they can still wreak your defense.

Endurance, endurance, endurance. I have to use Cardiac for the long fights.

Nictus can stack a lot of -recharge.

Damage against the final AVs, since I had to use Cardiac. Damage output was greatly reduced.

Final AV can still hurt you a lot even with the Night Tank build.

Positives:

I could take out crystals and completely ignore the mobs. Darkest night, defense, and resists was enough.

Cyclopes and Minos were not too bad because I had enough psi damage to punch through their t9s.

You can just ignore the ambushes entirely. Literal just run right through them.

Smoke nade and stealth allowed me to pick my fights.

Thank you for your sage reply, @KaizenSoze. I appreciate your knowledge of the subject. Your guide is a great read, too.

I'm going to evaluate and refactor a bit, based upon your advice. I think I have the DDR issue resolved by having some native resistance, as well as Mystic Flight to disengage (a bit).

The END issues, however, are pressing. I've tried to address those by getting Incarnations such as Musculature Total Radial Revamp, which combines both a damage buff and endurance modification into one, rather than just going pure damage with another Musculature.

Still, those long fights with AVs and/or larger groups of mobs can wear down END for most ATs, and the Arachnos Widow is an END Piglet anyway. I'm going to have to address that issue, even if it means adding more base Stamina slots, and/or adding some primary END-augmenting Incarnates that I might be switching out during the TF at key times.

Thanks for your review and suggestions.

I think you're trying to reach @STiTcH. Spelling counts!

So, if I read this correctly, your single target attack chain is likely to be: Followup > Lunge > Poison Dart > Spin, with proc'd Aim applying a average of 27% damage buff, over its 33 second recharge.

Using the numbers in MiDS, that would be approximately 280 DPS without incarnates and under ideal circumstances. ( -recharge will really hurt your DPS)

Ageless doesn't seem to change the single target attack chain, and Musculature seems to add about 12% more overall damage.

So, my expectation is that you will need envenomed daggers to drop the AVs regen rate, but activating daggers will drop your DPS even further.

Forum posts seem to indicate that the Robot Drones are at the bottom of the DPS list, and only give 50% -regen.

So, you may wish to consider Banished Pantheon for maximum DPS, or Longbow for ok DPS and better -regen.

Also, with relatively low hit points and no heal, it looks like you are planning to mail yourself a bunch of green inspirations to chew on when needed?

The Widow does enough damage on its own against the AVs in the ITF. The Robotic Drones are just tasty icing.

The daggers weren't necessary, because I worked the Psi powers into an extended hybrid rotation, and I used the Incarnate of "Degenerative Partial Radial Conversion", which has a chance both for -MaxHP and a toxic DoT; this synergizes well with the Robotic Drones.

Regarding the relatively low HP, it's not as much of an issue as it might appear to be. The Widow with this build gets hit infrequently, and it has superior resists to apply after any hit. The base Health-slotted healing procs are enough to cover HP needs at 0/8. Using Mystic Flight also downgrades the incoming damage, as it usually shifts it from Melee to Range.

I've not yet used the "fill up the email with buffs" trick. I might have to lean into that when I do the Khelds.

Low hit points aren't usually in issue till 3-4x8. Then the final AV can hit you so hard that you run a much higher risk of getting 2 slotted.
