Marine X
Just curious if any one knows how specifically Set Bonus calculations are handled by the Game. Stat has a base value of 100 before set bonuses of 3.75%, 5.00%, 3.75% and 3.75%. Is it base value times the total %? For example: 100 + (100x (3.75% + 5.00% + 3.75% + 3.75%) meaning 100 + (16.25% of 100) meaning an increase from 100 to 116.25. or Is it base value plus each bonus% in the order that they are applied? For example: 100 + (100 x 103.75% =103.75) (103.75 x 105.00% =108.93) (108.93 x 103.75% = 113.02) (113.02 x 103.75% = 117.26) Meaning an increase from 100 to 117.26. I never seem to come up with a total that matches what the Detail shows. Edited July 4, 2022 by Marine X " When it's too tough for everyone else, it's just right for me..." roleki
As far as I know, the bonuses are calculated individually and added together. The engine seems to do these calculations out to four digits, while the UI only goes up to 2, so the numbers are always a little fudged if you're going off values in the UI. Anything you can have, we have it. Even got a devil in the attic.
aethereal
Everything's additive, not multiplicative. There are as far as I can recall no cases in city of heroes where you get 10% bonus and another 10% bonus and the result is 121%, it's always 120%. (I guess there are some cases where bonuses to two different stats end up being multiplicative to a final result in the system, like to hit and accuracy, or damage and resist damage. But no case where each bonus is multiplied by an arbitrary number of other bonuses).
