There is something wrong with this power. Upon activation no defense bonus is received.

My character is Frost-Valkirie on torchbearer

Just to clarify its a pbaoe power that means it has to hit something to fully work.

 

Was foes in melee range as u activated and did u hit some of them, the amount of defense is based on how many u hit, with the biggest amount from the 1st (from HC Wiki).

Go to a lower level zone, create a new chat window and add in the combat details, jump into a group of enemies, hit the power, then screenshot or copy-paste the results.  That'll greatly help in identifying the issue...
