ice/cold for GM/AV

Really just curious on peoples opinion/experience with this combo and how it would potentially fair with soloing GM/AV 

 

It is definitely more of a solo focused build hence the lack of Glacial shield and frostwork.

 

I have added a number of slots within health to try somewhat counter the lack of heal.

 

46.4% S/L Def, 41.56 Ranged Def - less than desirable really...

If your flying you don't have to worry about taking melee hits and i can only think of 1 that can fly (Caleb) and you can drop him to the floor fast if you toss a snowstorm on him so you might have better luck with a resist shield and ranged defence as you already gave up a lot of hp to build a tiny amount of s/l res. Best option is soul which gets you powerboost bumping that def high and making it very easy to hit ranged and melee if you wanted it and get good s/l def. It'll get your resists way up there too. I run mine with cj+ss and just hop about its way better than hover for repositioning. I still don't get the 3 slotted hasten builds, especially if your only running 50+ content and boosted them. I think it only makes sense to slot 3 level 30 io's boosted for when exempting (or so i'm told). Otherwise its a wasted slot and io and inf and boosters. My original /cold was an ice on live and i used it for gm hunting, burnout sure speeds things up now. Gaussian proc is still better in aim or soul drain assuming you go soul. I'd normally say freeze ray/infrigidate accuracy is low but its irrelevant once sleet hits so does every attack. Still not sold on bitter freeze ray the animation time at 2+1/2 times the other st attacks can be a killer. No preventetive absorb/chance to self heal and freeze ray can take entomb absorb means a tray of green insps and break free's.

Had to dig it out, its been ages since i played it. Not mini maxed, lots of room for improvement. Just had a quick run out it soloed gm with no insps, bit slow to get going but i can hop in mobs for a decent soul drain. Could find another slot easily if your willing to throw d-syncs at benumb (and if you have 24 bill to spare)

Take the reactive from hover and chuck it in arctic/weave/manouvres for same s/l resist and extra hp (3 reactive pieces instead of 2 red fortune). Looks good all you need to do now is test it out and see what happens.
