Mr. Apocalypse
Like the title says, What changes would you make to this build to optimize it for page 5? It took me a long time to get it just right, and now due to the changes, it plays like crap. bots are constantly out of end, and on the verge of getting killed. I cant seem to visualize what I am doing until Mid's updates for page 5. This Villain build was built using Mids Reborn 3.4.6https://github.com/LoadedCamel/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! kelika2
I dont see where the attacks are You have nothing to stack petrifying gaze with Howling twilight is a one slot rech wonder, level 47 or 49 you dont need that +regen in health darkest night can get by with 3 enzyme hamis dark pit is a 2 slot rech wonder And unpopular opinion, dark servant is also a one slot wonder. I just dont use it outside of AV fights. too slow and its biggest asset is its -tohit aura - 1 lysome hami slotting end reduction into pets helps their end problems, and also their upgrades. this is easily tested by slotting it, checking info, and unslotting it and checking info again. tactics is not needed, i do not know who started this crap but your [supremacy] inherent and slotting for acc is way more than enough. and no matter how much +tohit you give them your pets will not break free of the +5 rule. this can be tested on test with a level 1 fighting like level 20s with two emp defs with power buildup forts with membranes. your everything else is underslotted to hell. If you have the cash its time to embrace Hamidon enhancements into every single one of your masterminds lives. You can also use Ribos in Tough/Epic pool resist AND shadow fall. 3 ribos in shadow fall + 2 def/1 lotg7.5 means you get more out of that power than most do I skipped Command of the Mastermind: AoE Def Drones: Acc/dmg hami x2 // Blood Mandate: Acc/dmg/end // 3 pet auras - still have end issues in long fights but their recharge is quick and mules are more important Prot Bots: acc/dmg hami x2 // Blood Mandate: Acc/dmg/end // 2 def/end/tohit hamis // 1 lotg7.5 Assault Bot: acc/dmg hami x2 // Mark of Supremacy: Acc/dmg/end + MoS: End/+resist aura // 1 pet aura // chance for buildup Edited October 22, 2022 by kelika2
Mr. Apocalypse
Thanks for the input. I will have to try out some of the changes on the beta server. Hami-Os are no issue, I got multiple billions to play with. pre page 5 I regularly solo'd AVs and did +4/x8 content solo as well. I rarely had to re-summon pets or died myself, unless I screwed up. Neither myself or the pets ran out of end ever, but that has all changed. I tend to take a lot of regen in health, because I like to play in close to the pets spamming twilight grasp, and therefore get hit with enemy AOE's a lot. This was the most survivable/hardcest hitting build I have come up over the years (it was not my design however, but grabbed from other players and modified slightly), and it has served me very well so far. DocMidknight
@Mr. Apocalypse, based on your current build I've modified it a bit to get some slightly different results. Not knowing how you like to play....such as do you just like to command your pets and sit back to oversee everything or do you prefer to jump in and attack as well. As @kelika2 mentions different suggestions for the build, there is not one way to make MM's but many, countless variations based on player preference. With the build I posted the 2 upgrade powers each have 2 slots in them which were left blank, place 2 from a healing set in one to get whatever bonus that interests you and place 2 from a resist set in the other, again for whatever bonus interests you. While all but 1 of my MM's has attacks this comes from my playing everything like a scrapper I tend to build to hit high defense and resists ratings and while no really needed I found that it suits my playstyle This Villain build was built using Mids Reborn 3.4.7https://github.com/LoadedCamel/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! With the build I posted the 2 upgrade powers each have 2 slots in them which were left blank, place 2 from a healing set in one to get whatever bonus that interests you and place 2 from a resist set in the other, again for whatever bonus interests you. While all but 1 of my MM's has attacks this comes from my playing everything like a scrapper I tend to build to hit high defense and resists ratings and while no really needed I found that it suits my playstyle This Villain build was built using Mids Reborn 3.4.7https://github.com/LoadedCamel/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! tidge
I haven't run a /Dark MM since live, but here are some things I would do differently with the Secondary and Epic. I think Howling Twilight should be taken as early as possible, and slotted with: Absolute Amazement Stun/Recharge (boosted +5) Absolute Amazement Acc/Stun/Recharge (boosted +5) Ragnarok Acc/Recharge (boosted +5) Ragnarok Damage/Endurance (boosted +5) ideally you would have an Acc/End but just take the Recovery bonus Javelin Volley %Lethal Bombardment %Fire (over Positron's Blast %Energy since the Robots do Energy) You won't quite be spamming it, but it should help a lot. OI would also only slot the Dark Servant with 4x Cloud Senses. If you really want 5-slots, use the 5th slot as an Accuracy/Heal. Fearsome Stare should mimic Dark Servant except you will want more Endurance reduction, and it can take a %Psi proc from Glimpse of the Abyss for a total of 5 slots. If you find that you aren't hitting enemies with it, the 6th slot could be an HO Endoplasm. I think all those slots in Tactics are a waste, and I like the Gaussian's set! You definitely want to boost the henchmen's ToHit chances of course, so the power choice is a smart one. I suspect all the slots in Oppressive Gloom are overdoing it. A single level 53 Endoplasm HO should do in a pinch. If Endurance is an issue, add a single slot for a 50+5 IO. Tar Patch should probably have 2x 50+5 Recharge IO. The slotting of Oppressive Gloom is one that I feel differently about. Typically, I go for 3-piece set bonuses from Gladiator's Net (Acc/Hold, Acc/End/Hold/Rech, %Lethal) and then flavor to taste. The %smashing from Unbreakable Constraint is one of the best %damage available, and Lockdown (%+2 Mag) offers you a chance to Hold bosses. If you are committed to Super Jump as a travel, and don't have Combat Jumping (or another specialized power pool) may I suggest Mighty Leap (from Force of Will), as you can use Takeoff to knockdown enemies. It may be stretch for MMs, but with a 3-power investment you could have Wall of Force as a %proc-tastic cone attack. I never take Hasten on my Masterminds. If I want MOAR recharge, generally I can get enough via slotting enhancement bonuses.
