Help with End issues on Fire/Fire/Fire dom

I've respec'd a couple times already and still having major End issues. I love freezing big groups in their tracks and proc'ing them to dust, but I'm almost always out of blue and squishier than a blaster. Any advice?

I burst out laughing when I saw all the common endredux IO's. That's how you know a man is desperate for juice!

 

I identify 2 problems with your build.

 

First of all, it is very low damage despite all the procs. This means you need many more attacks, especially costly aoe attacks, to defeat the same enemies. You have 1) no dominator ATIO +dmg proc, 2) no apoc purple damage proc, 3) no embrace of fire - absolutely criminal on a /fire dom, 4) no fire imps, and 5) and your attacks are all slotted inefficiently, often with useless trash like devastation hold procs. An example: your 4 damage procs (incl 1 armageddon proc) in Hot Feet barely does the same damage on average as 3 common damage SO's, due to the low proc chance in such a large aoe power. If you replaced your slotting in Hot Feet with 5x armageddon and 1x common endredux IO, you would not only have about the same amount of endredux, but deal more damage, and gain a bunch of recharge and set bonuses that improve the rest of your powers.

 

Secondly, your amount of global recharge is extremely low (38.8% outside of hasten). This means you use domination and consume less often. Domination refills your blue bar and is a critical part of your eps.

 

Without a video of you playing I cannot be certain; however, I also suspect that you may be spamming fire cages. The way that you have slotted fire cages makes it an ineffectual and very costly attack. Look how much it costs, and how much damage it does, then compare it to your fireball (a proper aoe attack, which to your credit you have properly slotted), and you'll see what I mean.

 

Dominators are a control AT first and foremost, because they apply the ultimate hard control: death. You need much better dps optimization, which will allow you to defeat the same enemies for less end.

Thanks for the help! You def called it on the common IOs, soooo desperate for end!! Thus, this call for help.

 

I had dropped  embrace cause I wasn’t really using it much and imps just seemed to be an end waste as they’d die & need resummon so much. You’ve given me a lot to reconsider. Appreciate it!

I have found the key to solving Endurance issues on Dominators to be "permadom". It's the auto-refill of the Blue Bar that solves the problem, no amount of Recovery, Endurance Reduction, or +MaxEnd, or Global Endurance Discounts will have as big an effect. If possible, try to achieve PermDom without Hasten, as there is an endurance hit each time Hasten expires.

Yes thats it. 

 

Ok now a few observations about your build:

- Acrobatics is not required. Perma Domination will provide knockback/mezz protection

- You obviously focused your build towards + recharge bonusses which is fine, but you dont have anykind of defense/resist bonusses that will let you survive through the game. You can reach a great recharge bonuss and also softcap your ranged or S/L defense

- Why picking flares instead incinerate? And why just 1 slot in this attack? Is useless on the way it is

- Combat Jumping way overslotted same as Tough. All those uniques will not save you to taking hits and remember Doms are one of the lowest HP ATs in game. So you dont want to take hits, you want to avoid them meaning softcap defense

-Health is ok with 2 Slots only: Panacea + Miracle uniques. If you can fit a Numina unique great.

-Hasten is overslotted. Just 2 slots and upgrade +5 recharge reduction when hit 50

-You chose Smoke over Cinders that is not advisable. You want a AoE hold always. Thats a core tool for your control and survavility

 

Ok with all this said and going back to the reason of your post as @tidgesaid above your main source of stamina is perma dom and also using Consume wisely. /Fire is endurance heavy and if you also pick Hot Feet aura you will be begging for end all the time. So use Consume when required and if it is difficult to handle remember you have Ageless incarnate power when you hit 50+.

 

For last im sharing my take on your build and how i would run it. This build has +180 rech and also +51% ranged defense with perma-Link minds running. If you chose Agility Core incarnate your defense goes up to 53.5 which is a good number to run +54 high end content or GM/AVs hunting. Im sure some other players take Ice Mastery for sleet and ice storm for more DPS and debuffs. You can try that path too.
