How to hide the Bio armor carapace?

Hello,

 

I remember reading somewhere that you can hide the ugly Bio armor carapace models on your char, but I can't find it again. Can anyone tell me how it's done?

Just choose "Minimal FX" for the overall theme, or MinimalFXPowerTheme for individual powers.

 

Ablative Carapace and Parasitic Aura have no Minimal FX option, but they're click powers where the carapace appears only briefly and then disappears.

I just did the same thing the other day. Unfortunately, the adaptations make it look like your leaking MRSA all over the place. I couldn't deal with it. The giant spikes were no problem, but that puss was nasty.

Of course, ymmv.
