First off, thanks for responding on a three-year old thread.  It's a testament to an engaged and helpful community.   Truly CoH-worthy.

This is for a Guardian Hellfire/Dark build.  This AT is on Rebirth so might be called something different (if even present) on HC or other servers.    Many powers have a minor toxic DoT.  The set's tier 9 is an extreme fire DoT.  Also have Soul Storm's moderate negative DoT.  Res debuf abounds.  Procs are present but not as many as I would prefer given all the DoTing.   I chose to pursue some higher set bonuses in this particular build.

I think your "it is activating an attack that adds a stack or checks for DH" answers the question.  I mistakenly thought otherwise.  Appreciate the concise insight.

Testing this on my Ice/Bio scrapper, admittedly T3. It doesn't work. No double hit, it never procs for any of my attacks. Pretty odd. It does give me a tiny boost in damage, barely noticeable, so I know its doing something, but I cant seem to get any additional damage benefit from it.

Ive got one on my fire blaster - ill check that too but I remember when I slotted it and tested it was very underwhelmed and removed it immediately. That was the t4 one too.  - Tested - does nothing. Absolutely nothing. Do not make this mod.

I don't know about the T3 you slotted, but the T4 Radial does double hit.  It works well on every toon I have it slotted on.  But you have to remember, the double hit is a proc, and that means, it will not happen every time you activate a power.

Assault Radial follows normal proc protocols and powers with faster base recharges proc less often than other powers with longer base recharges.  Additionally, AOEs have a greater chance of a double hit to proc vs. single targets, but still, not every foe in the AOE will get double hit.

Look at this post presented earlier in this thread.  There is some great info in here.  Read through, and re-look at your Assault Radial and I'm sure you'll find it does work.  And you may find you need to adjust your attack chain to make it proc more often, or that you would be better suited to use the Assault Core instead.

It works fine, and has for years.

There's a problem with how your capturing data, not with Assault Radial.

I am just looking at the combat log. Would it not appear in the combat log? Reactive does. I have autohit a Vanguard pylon for 5 minutes and not once did the term "doublehit" appear in my log, not was it reflected in any visual damage numbers. So how do I capture this data?

Are you sure you're actually toggling the ability on?

Reactive is an Interface Incarnate Slot Ability; which means it's an Auto - it's passive and always active.

Assault is a Hybrid Incarnate Slot Ability; which means it's a Toggle - you need to actually Click and Activate it before it starts working.
It's coded as a Toggle with a maximum duration of 120 seconds and a 120 second recharge, so you can get ~50% uptime on it.
(there is a piddly always-on global damage increase from just equipping the Assault ability... but the main point is the buff you get from running the Toggle!)
