Renewal of light temp power purchased from the p2w vendor

tooltip implies you will be invulnerable for a brief time after using

apparently, foes can kill you before the invulnerability kicks in?

considering its lengthy recharge can this be fixed?

Its easy to criticize a suggestion but can you suggest an alternative?

To the best of my knowledge, the issue is with mobs targeting and attacking timing. This occurs even with other self rez powers from time to time. There is a window of time before a power's effects go into effect. Even if it is a very small window. However, if enemies attack in that window of time, they will inflict damage before the invulnerability kicks in, though it will look like the damage is being done through the invulnerability. You can see this effect with MM pets and their ability to immediately kill a self-rezzing target at the start of their animation when they are untargetable by players. You can see it happen with Willpower's Resurgence. You can even see it happen with Fiery Aura's Phoenix Rising. The initial blast from Phoenix Rising helps prevent that, and Renewal of Light's Snow Angel effect is also supposed to afford the same protection. If mobs are able to trigger their attacks early enough though? Then it just doesn't matter because they are still going to get you.

(Edit: Hells, you can see it on the Fake Nemesis mobs. When they pop their personal force field rendering them untouchable, but they die anyway because you were able to slip a finishing attack in at the start of the animation despite the power having been triggered.)
