shlemkevich Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 I seem to recall an ability to set your targeting window to scan nearby enemies and find the enemy you set it to find. Is that a thing or am I delusional? Just looking to help with some of the hunting badges.
Dungeoness Eloora Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 I can't speak to whether such an auto-scan of targets ever existed, but if you make a macro using the guide on this wiki page, you can edit the name in it to be whatever you're hunting at the time. Just put the macro button somewhere easy to reach and spam it while you run around. @dungeoness and @eloora on Excelsior <Federation of United Cosmic Knights>

That's right Dungeoness...If you create a Macro - /macro SCN "target_custom_next bone" Then you will have a button on your power bar that will only target objects with Bone in the name, like "Bone Daddy". Or you could do it as a bind, and have a keyboard button that will do it /bind G "target_custom_next wolf" and everytime you press G, it will only target objects with Wolf in the name, like a "Nightwolf" "The opposite of a fact is falsehood, but the opposite of one profound truth may very well be another profound truth." - Niels Bohr Global Handle: @JusticeBeliever ... Eva Destruction Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 A bit of a derail, but "targetcustomnext" also works for friendlies and objects. So you can use it to find blinkies or hostages on those giant outdoor maps. The downside is that it will also target blinkies you've already clicked.
