LRM D 1b+

This is another Concept Build.  It's based on an older Beam Energy LRM build, but I wanted simpler to drive. 

  • It's a Long Range Fire Support build instead of a brawler.
  • Triple Snipe and Triple Nuke capabilities.
  • I'm Planning on using Intuition Radial T4 +damage/+Range and Clarion Radial T4 +range
  • You can get some armor using Kinetic Dampeners to seal up SL.  I'll probably run Dampeners full time.
  • Then if you want to seal up ENFC you'll need to add Amplifiers, which I'm not planning on doing due to expense.  But if you have a particularly difficult challenge or TF you're wanting to solo, it might be worth it for the short term.
  • I'll also attach Alpha 5i as an armored variant.  I don't plan on building this one, but I might change my mind and put it in one of the two alternate build slots.

Soloed an Aeon Last night to get [Sheer Willpower], +0x0 with the LRM build.  It took just shy of 3 hours.  It was probably about 2.5 hours, but I had a 30m or so phone call in the middle.  

Being relatively lightly armored, I'm not sure which was harder:

  • The first big room with the Research EB and a billion bot storm.   The low armor really showed here.
  • Ripplesurge.  Having done this before with other builds, I didn't take any chances and just dropped every thing on him, including all the pets.  He dropped like a rock, only getting off one shimmer spawn.  Now I'm second guessing that I might not have needed any help?   Better safe than sorry.
  • The Dome.  I personally think this was probably the hardest part, at least on this run.  I didn't use any pets, but I did use 4 or 5 inspirations in a row till I got it thinned down to just the two AVs.  Then I discover the hard way I need to take out Zoe first.  Never noticed that before when using stronger characters.

Very impressive Defensive numbers Linea.  I'm not sure how you get them that high on a Blaster, but I'm too tired to really dig into your build.

 

You know, you can add the Incarnate powers you want into your Mids' build.   Go up to Incarnate Powers tab in the upper right-hand corner of Mids'.  Then select what you plan on taking.  I took the liberty of adding the ones you typed out and then a couple I thought you would select - based on what you're doing with this build.

 

I couldn't help myself.  I changed Aim and Stamina slotting on your original build.  Both changes give the build a little more HPs.  Something that is lacking on this character.  Also, with this minor reslotting of Aim, you now have a 90% chance of adding 40% Tohit & 100% damage buff each time you click the power.

 

I can't believe someone didn't point this out to ya before.   Hmmmm....

 

To see the Incarnate powers on this build, grab the Mids' at the bottom of the window and drag it down.  In other words, elongate the Mids' to see the bottom of the App.

I took the 3 slots from Brawl and moved them up to Tough.  Took an additional slot from Maneuvers which had an unnecessary Kismet slotted.

 

This moving of slots results in more HPs, and more resistance in Smash/Lethal/Energy/Negative.  And doesn't hurt the Melee Def total.

 

It has been a while since I slotted for Defense.  The incoming damage is filtered through subjected to the higher of the Melee/Ranged/AoE defense numbers, or the typed Defense.    Am I right here?

The higher defense applies, this one is designed for SLENFC.

Incarnates powers and leveling builds I usually just do by feel.  Sometimes I'll include them, more often not.

You need 33.8-ish SL defense to seal SL with Kinetic Dampener.  Dampener is approx ~ +11.2 SL Def +21 E Res.  I don't mind running dampeners, but don't want to run more expensive powers.  I'm more willing to let ENFC slide.

That leaves Atom Smasher vs +5s ... that's close enough, ... but I really do like the kismet for malfactoring and perma-snipe damage and It's a sniper concept build

I'm dubious on the loss of endurance.  I'll have to do some testing.  That rarely works out, but I have not tested it, and the most common exceptions are Blasters.

It's cool, but dang, those kinetic dampner buffs are spendy at high level.  I don't farm on the regular, though- or flip recipes/enhancements for profit, so I guess most people probably don't have problems with it at that point.

Thankyou Linea for responding.  May I ask how you get around the different maps on this guy?  He doesn't have a travel power.

This device will reduce the likelihood that you will be struck by smashing or lethal attacks as well as reducing the damage that incoming energy attacks. Recharge: Fast

I've played No Travel Power builds since i13, back when it was dragging a boulder up hill both ways.  Now days it's easy with all the temp travel powers.  She has the small longbow pack built right into her costume, so I use that specific temp.  When it turns on, it just lights up the existing costume part.
