It just depends on how much you want to spend on a build and what outside sources you allow yourself to use (vendor pets, external buffs, etc.). Illusion is a great choice due to Phanton Army being able to tank for you while you dish out control and damage. I think it would be a fun build, and you could easily use it to solo most content. I currently run a Dark/Martial Dominator and I've solo'd a ton of content without issue. So, you have to ask yourself some questions: 1. What level do you want to solo at? 2.
