Anyone got a good water/marine affinity build yet?

I know it's only a few days old but I'd be interested to see some of your all's Water/Marine Affinity builds! I've already seen a few 50's on Excelsior 🙂

Mine is work in progress, its mostly theoretical (i only got mine to lvl 27) and there some thematic choice (like the leviathan pick ) but i think should be solid enough

i know most folks like dehydrate but i just hate the animation and never feel like i need the self heal.

I was finishing up my ice/cold corruptor, so I didn't get around to making mine until today. I ran a DFB just now with 5 others...😆

I will try to throw one together tomorrow. I just got the mids update today and was looking at the set.  
 

 

I have been leveling my first tanker (all 50s I have are corruptors) and have played with a lot of /marine affinity toons since the update. They seem very strong while leveling. Great team buffs. Idk how they will perform at 50 since they seem to lack heavy debuffs but definitely seem fun.  Made leveling a breeze.

I like this build a lot! I like proc heavy builds. I might have to try this one out. Might replace Fly with Mystic Flight and replace a few powers with some of the powers in Sorcery. I'll share once I'm done!

Thanks, i was considering it, but i couldn't mange to squeeze it in (since if im going mystic i would like Rune of protection). The problem is Since i dont take dehydrate, i felt a little lacking in single target damage so that's why i opted for the Jaws at lvl 47, Making you one power short, you could also drop stealth but i think the recharge is more would be more vital

i threw this together this morning. I haven't played this set yet, so keep that in mind. Some powers i am not sure if they are worth it. For example, Brine seems pretty lackluster to me. I would probably replace it with a travel power. I am sure a lot of people will take the Levithan for theme reasons. I tried one with Dark but didnt have enough room to get dark consumption and spirit drain and make everything else work together.

 

With all the force feedback procs you should see that going off a lot (i have a water/cold that makes use of a lot of the +recharge procs and they go off very frequently). Shoal Rush, though kind of lack luster on the surface, reminds me of infrigidate in the sense it is an absolute proc monster and will hit hard, especially since the base recharge is 15 seconds. I wish i had an extra slot to get an accuracy in there but it should still connect most of the time.

 

Anyway, just another idea on how you could build.

Hi Griffin, Interestingly, I have the same request of you.  It seems to me that you only posted a picture of your build and I would like to try it, but I really can't decipher your build all that well from the picture.  Can you actually post the downloadable file as well?  Possibly you have and I just don't know how to get at it.

Good point. You can't tell which set pieces I actually use from the picture. I left this morning going out of town and won't be home till Monday, but I will definitely post it for you.

A couple of comments from the picture build you have posted. I have been playing around with something similar, Tide Pool does not need recharge...I have slotted with a single slow enhancement, moved the extra slot to Shoal Rush for the Ice Mistral proc. Focused Accuracy I slot only with an Endurance Reduction, freeing up a slot. Tactics is redundant, can change to a travel power, slotting a KB protection. Anyhow, just some changes that you can consider in your build.

This is good feedback. I updated the build to match what you said, and added two pieces of blessing of the zypher to super speed at level 50 to give more ranged defense.

 

I was teamed with a marine defender the other day and they said their shifting tides was doing almost 100 damage a tick 6 slotted for damage. I am not sure if anyone has played with this, but that seems like it may be worth re-arranging slots to get that damage cranked up on a toggle power.
