Who: The Justice Superteamers (the folks behind the Justice TA, Traps, Radiation, Blades, Earth, Gun, Darkness, Time, Water, Indomitable Sonic, and Excelsior Nature, Knockback, Electric, Thermal/Cold, Dark, TA, Guns, Poison, Stone, Time, Rough Riders, Symphony, Psychic, Demon/Fire Control, Storm, Epic AT, Fold Space, Arsenal/Assault, and Dark/Sound Superteams)

The Justice Superteamers run many projects to leverage the power of stacked (de)buffs and explore common themes to accomplish things that a random group could not. Come join us on Excelsior for our Splish Splash Superteam where we will harness the power of the sea to subdue our foes. Long time vets and new players are all invited as we focus on fun with other friendly players.

 

AT/Build Requirements:

• One of your power sets must be Marine Affinity or Water Blast - bonus points for both!
• Required Powers (slotting):
  • Maneuvers by level 14 (2 slots worth of Defense enhancements by level 20)
  • From Marine Affinity, you must take:
    • Toroidal Bubble (2 Resists enhancements)
    • Tide Pool (no required slotting)
    • Shifting Tides (no required slotting)
    • Barrier Reef (2 Defense enhancements)
    • Power of the Depths (2 Recharge enhancements)
• The following are suggested, but if you can't fit them all in, not required:
  • Assault
  • Tactics
  • All other Marine Affinity powers
• Other team-focused powers are great too: Vengeance, Victory Rush, Weaken Resolve, Spirit Ward, and Teleport Target are always useful.
• You're welcome to make use of your other build if you'd like to maintain a solo, PVP, or non project compliant build.

 

Miscellaneous Details:

• Our first meeting will take place Friday, August 30, 2024 at 8pm EDT/5pm PDT/12am UTC (see link above for time zone conversions) on the star in Nova Praetoria on Excelsior. Feel free to show up fresh from the tutorial (or even skip it). New characters should choose the "Praetorian Earth" option in the Character Creator.
• We'll be coordinating the group through use of a global channel named "Justice Superteamers". Everyone participating on this team must join the channel. (/chan_join "Justice Superteamers").
• We have a Justice Superteamers SG with a fully functional base. Team members are welcome to join the SG and anyone is welcome to use the public base amenities with code: JST-19564. We also have a Discord channel for out of game and voice communication.
• We'll start in Praetoria and run arcs and events there, but will eventually make ourselves vigilantes/rogues so we can enjoy what Paragon and the Rogue Isles have to offer.
• We'll be focusing on PVE content (TFs, Contact Arcs, iTrials, the occasional newspaper/scanner, etc).
• There is no limit on the number of people that can join us. This isn't going to be a fixed group of 8; the more, the merrier. Feel free to show up late, roll a 2nd alt, etc.
• Super-Sidekick makes teaming incredibly easy. If you already have a character that fits the theme of this team, or won't be able to join us at the start of this team, don't worry; we'll accept you at any level, any time. Just note that if you're significantly beyond the rest of the team in terms of level, you should expect to exemplar down to the rest of the team most of the time.

I've seen people say "I bet Marine would make a good superteam" well here's your chance to find out for yourself. 

 

My prediction?  Yes, a very good superteam.

Have you ever thought "I wish I could find a team in Praetoria"?  Well soon (exactly 12 hours from now) you can.  That is, if you're either a Marine Affinity or Water Blast user.

 

Don't forget your wet suit!

 

So go ahead and create your character now (or within the next 12 hours) so you're not scrambling at start time.  Of course you're welcome to scramble at start time as well, you'll just be a little bit behind, which is no big deal.

If you're thinking "Oh shucks I missed the opening night, too late for me" then think again.  This coming Friday is as good a chance to join up as the opening night was.  

 

I'd say for this next session you don't need to start as a Praetorian.  Make a Marine Affinity and/or Water Blast character (or use an existing one you have) with whatever alignment you want and you can still join us on the gold side.  Missions will no doubt still be in Praetoria, probably focusing on some Neutropolis and First Ward arcs.

So this team has been fun. I am on a Water/Marine Corruptor.  We did a TV trial about a week ago.  We do not have a lot of upfront DPS because the focus was on Marine Affinity. So….

 

If i remember we ran it at +1/+2 and we made a plan of just staying on the reactor.  Everyone just drops AoE buff/debuffs and DPS at the reactor. I died twice i think.  It went great.  Not super speedy but the reactor was so buffed, the enemies debuffed.  It was a pretty easy king of the hill game

Nah my dude, we ran it at +4, there were +6 enemies in there.  Worth mentioning this was respec 2 and no one has lvl 50 goodies yet (purples, superior ATOS, HOs, whatevah), this is all the power of Marine.

 

This is a good time for a new member to join, even if level 1 as we're likely to be doing Posi eventually that session, so getting from 1-8 will be super quick.

Going on right now, actually. Most of the group is at 50 now, but we run all Marine or Water teams every Friday evening. Team 1 ran a Mender Ramiel unlock followed by a Faathim; Team 2 ran an Ice Mistral followed by a Yin. All the details in the OP still apply so feel free to send me a message or /chanjoin "Justice Superteamers" and post there on a Friday night and we'll get you on a team.
