Refund Part of MM Pet Summon Endurance Cost if Some Pets are Still Alive

MMs don't need rebalancing... They need a straight buff in high-end content.  I think your idea, unless it's a straight cut to end cost, is a nonstarter.  Also, since MMs have an endurance penalty AS AN AT, I don't see that change happening.

 

The buff that MMs need is for all henchmen, at all levels, to summon at the same effective level as the MM.  That includes level shifts.

I disagree with this proposed idea, but it deserves it's own thread for discussion. I know there have been many threads in the past discussing that topic, but it's off-topic for this thread.

Well, if you believe a buff is in order, then why not implement the idea as suggested without the proposed drawback included? I think the dev team would be the ones to test whether or not that's a good idea. In that case, without the drawback, it would be a "straight cut to end cost" in situations where you're summoning fewer than the maximum amount of minions.

 

What do you mean, they have a penalty as an archetype? Do they have a -recovery malus or something?

IIRC their powers automatically have higher endurance costs than the same powers on other archetypes; the penalty is built into all their powers.
