Is there any efficient way to get this badge?  Defeating 1000 Paragon Police is going to take an eternity when the only reliable place to find them is in Mayhem Missions which time out, so you can just keep grinding away in them.

Badge defeat guide says: Typically the best way to fight these is during Mayhem missions. They do appear in some high end redside missions, but some may prefer doing mid level mayhem missions (Brickstown /IP/Talos) for Paragon Police as they are a rather difficult enemy group at higher levels.

Ugh, so much for hoping for a reasonable way to do this one.  Sounds like you need to hold on to Atlas Park, Kings Row and Skyway mayhem missions til you are level 30 or so, set for an 8 man team and rack up time and kills as fast as possible, then reset the mission by exiting the game and loading back in real fast.  Sadly too late to do that for this dominator I am working on.

Second question, if you are on a team do all the enemy kills count for your defeat numbers or only the ones you personally kill?

It's not too late. You can unlock a contact (on both Hero and Villain side) that allows you to pick any Safeguard or Mayhem mission without doing the 5 prerequisite missions. You just select which one you want then you run it.

 

To your second question, yes they count (there is a certain distant that it stops counting though - dunno the distance).

Thank you for this information, I knew there was a way to do the prior mayhem missions but not how.  Thought that was something that unlocked at level 50.

Yep you have to defeat 30 PPD but there are loads on that map. It's a simple matter of farming the map till you get enough of them
