I think that ship sailed when they made claws with three retracting claws on each hand...

 

Even if the animation had the blasts coming from the face/head, that would be sufficient.  I probably should have included the other blast sets too...  I mean, I can easily imagine characters who spit fire or ice, or what have you...

Not really. There are several comics, movies, cartoons/anime, and other media that aren't about Wolverine but have characters that extend 2 or 3 claws between their knuckles from within their forearm. Wolverine is just the most famous of them. So there is ample grounds to argue against Marvel for copyright infringement on the Claws set.

 

That said, there are other characters that fire various blasts from their eyes too. Not specifically concussive blasts like Cyclops, but various blasts nonetheless.

That's the point, in my opinion. The flashy gymnastics of Dual Pistols are to immerse the player into feeling like a badass, acrobatic, death-defying superhero. You know, in an entire super hero-themed MMO designed around BEING a super hero?

There are plenty of Dual Pistol users that don't jump around and act flashy. I too would like something a bit toned down for Dual Pistols. I think it was asked for during live also. Paragon simply never got around to it for obvious reasons.
