Elfis Posted April 11 Posted April 11 If I create a 'doorway' to make items more easily placeable in that square, I don't seem to be able to fill the middle section like I can with 'rooms'. Is there a way to have your doorway exist but filled, like you can with rooms?
Forager Posted April 12 Posted April 12 No. You can delete the door after placing the items, though. The items will remain. 2
Retired Community Rep Dacy Posted April 22 Retired Community Rep Posted April 22 You can't fill the doorway, but, you can build over it, if above, and in it, if within the base bounds, of course. I have experienced doors that have disappeared upon applying a filled spot to the base, so, if the door is gone, see if it's invisible, or actually needs to be replaced. I actually have not run into a situation where the door was invisible but still functionally there. But this is the editor. I will never say never to something that could be funky. 🙂 If you have a door that you wish to be a wall, I'd suggest removing the door, which will then fill with a wall, or use editor pieces to create a wall; a good option if you still wish to be able to use it as a doorway, because of course then you can also create a passage. -Dacy Retired CR Active Base Advocate My base building tutorials are always available for you! Yes I tested that furiously after finding that bug out and can say that nothing has disappeared yet. The Basebuilders I talked to told me it's not reliable and shouldn't be used though. I for one think it's very reliable back to the Zukunft @Jkwak
Retired Community Rep Dacy Posted May 18 Retired Community Rep Posted May 18 I’m not sure what about it is not reliable? Placement can be tricky if the grab point is too close to the halfway point, but my spaceship is definitely a testament to the fact that you can build and they stay, because both the front and the back of that ship was built using that technique. -Dacy Retired CR Active Base Advocate My base building tutorials are always available for you!
