Clave Dark 5 Posted Wednesday at 09:26 AM Posted Wednesday at 09:26 AM I've never messed around with a VEAT in Mids until now and I clearly don't understand the leveling/respecing thing with them. I'm starting from a Night Widow build I found on the forums and looking to swap out a couple of powers here and there for personal taste. What I'm seeing happen is I drop one power to make room for Follow Up, and no matter where I then place FU, the power gets the red text telling me it's been placed in a way that wouldn't be allowed in the game. I'm assuming there's something about the order of respecing/placing that I don't understand here... Tim "Black Scorpion" Sweeney: Matt (Posi) used to say that players would find the shortest path to the rewards even if it was a completely terrible play experience that would push them away from the game... ╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Clave's Sure-Fire Secrets to Enjoying City Of Heroes Ignore those farming chores, skip your market homework, play any power sets that you want, and ignore anyone who says otherwise. This game isn't hard work, it's easy! Go have fun! ╚═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Check to see if you have selected both. 1 1 Night Pixie on Excelsior Introduction to Arachnos Widows - Night/Blood/Fortunata

Clave Dark 5 Posted yesterday at 12:41 AM Author Posted yesterday at 12:41 AM So are there any other powers like this I need to know about? I've poked around a little both here and the wiki but couldn't seem to find a decent explanation of the leveling/respecing thing for VEATS. Colludium Posted yesterday at 02:52 AM Posted yesterday at 02:52 AM Not on the Widow that should be the only power lock. I think Soldier has the same with a grenade power, you can take one but not the other. 1
Maelwys Posted yesterday at 10:13 AM Posted yesterday at 10:13 AM Some of the other ATs/powersets have similar stuff - an example that pops into my head is the Sentinel Super Reflexes powers "Master Brawler" and "Practised Brawler" (which are each coded to exclude you from taking the other one). Usually this is specified in the Power Description in-game; and usually Mids will stop you from being able to take impossible power combinations when you're planning your build out. But if in doubt, the Test Server is your friend.
