Commander Hawke Posted Friday at 06:05 PM Posted Friday at 06:05 PM My apologies if this has been brought up before, my search-fu skills are still developing. I know in the original game Confusion gave no xp and that placed a stigma on the Mind Control powerset. Now I see Tactical Arrow and Arsenal both have confusion elements. I noticed you still receive 0 xp when a confused target takes down another if you don't do direct damage. But aren't you? I mean it IS your power that made all that happen afterall. Anyways, My questions is, will xp be on the table for confusion sometime or is this a lost cause since it's been so long and not been changed? Thanks for the future comments.
arcane Posted Friday at 06:09 PM Posted Friday at 06:09 PM You actually get bonus XP against confused enemies. For example, according to the curve on HCWiki, you get 50% of the XP if you only do 20% of the damage. AoE confuses have been proven to increase reward gains per unit of time, so they’re actually already the best mez effect in the game.
Commander Hawke Posted Friday at 06:10 PM Author Posted Friday at 06:10 PM So you get xp when you take out a confused enemy? But not using a confused enemy to take out his buddies, or am I missing something?
Uun Posted Friday at 06:23 PM Posted Friday at 06:23 PM Don't think you're posting in the right place, as there are no corruptor primaries or secondaries with confuse powers. Most confuse powers are in controller/dominator primaries. Arsenal, Dark, Electric, Ice, Illusion, Mind, Plant and Symphony all have confuse powers. Tactical Arrow is a blaster secondary but has no confuse powers. AoE confuse (Arsenal, Electric, Ice, Mind, Plant) is quite viable and widely accepted. ST confuse (Dark, Illusion, Mind, Symphony) is more situational, primarily for dealing with troublesome foes. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Confuse_(Status_Effect) Uuniverse

Which has to be the case because otherwise you could get XP without entering combat. But once you do damage to foes that are also being attacked by confused enemies, you always get an outsized share of the XP.
Commander Hawke Posted Friday at 06:25 PM Author Posted Friday at 06:25 PM Nope you are right.. My bad, supposed to be Controller.
Psyonico Posted Friday at 06:40 PM Posted Friday at 06:40 PM Not only do you get a larger percentage of XP per damage done than by just straight damaging enemies, but you also clear faster since you’ve got something else doing damage for you, which compounds the whole “I get more XP per percentage damaged” thing to make your XP over Time higher. What this team needs is more Defenders
