FunstuffofDoom Posted Tuesday at 11:51 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:51 PM So, the new Regen changes look cool and I wanna get in on that when they drop. I’m plotting out what my next stalker is going to be, and I notice Radiation Melee, which I’ve heard nothing about, really. Looking at it, it’s got some decently hard-hitting attacks and not much AoE, but a chance to proc a condition which in turn procs some AoE, cool beans. Some attacks are slow, some are fast, its damage typing isn’t great, but that’s hardly a unique problem. So, why isn’t it more prevalent? Am I missing something, or is this set just kinda… fine?
Wravis Posted Wednesday at 12:01 AM Posted Wednesday at 12:01 AM Ugly damage aura that is either bright and eye searing or dark and obscuring, so people don't love running it. Same reason cold domination isn't as popular as it should be based on how good it is. People don't like powers that hide your character, and Irradiated Ground kind of does that. It's also weird to rely on a damage aura as part of the ATTACK set, for a significant portion of the set's AOE. Especially with its high end cost. And then its good attacks are all slow. It's not a bad set though, just a lot of little things that make it not as fun to play as it could be, Give me money to draw your characters! I’m pretty okay with that, ‘cause I’ve really minded switching over to a blaster for AoE. I hear you on the slow powers thing. If the animation, effects, and mechanics aren’t all on point, it just sucks the fun out of the moment to use.
Hatecube Posted Wednesday at 03:13 AM Posted Wednesday at 03:13 AM I got a rad/dark stalker and a scrapper as well and rad is alright on a stalker id only pick up t1 t2 fusion as and atom smasher cause you'll be dead probably by the time those powers finish lol
Hatecube Posted Wednesday at 03:14 AM Posted Wednesday at 03:14 AM Here is a video of it it's a proc build though
TygerDarkstorm Posted Wednesday at 02:14 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:14 PM Rad Melee's biggest issues are that its cast times are super slow. It can hit pretty hard, but if you team, you're going to be doing a lot of corpse blasting, and like Hatecube said, be at risk of dying trying to get your attacks off. You're better off using one of the many better primaries like Energy Melee. Global: @Valnara1; Discord Handle: @Valnara#0620 I primarily play on Everlasting, but you may occasionally find me on Indom. 🙂 Notable Characters: Apocolyptica - Demons/Storm MM; Lurking Monster - Human-Form WS; Environmentabot - Bots/Nature MM; Miss Fade - Ill/Traps Controller; Sister Apocalypse - Beast/Dark MM; Dr. Elaina Wrath - Plant/Rad Controller (Join the House of Wrath, and spread the word of science!); Ruff Ruff Boom - AR/Devices Blaster
