Is there a bug with Roots? Am I crazy?

I spent hours and hours yesterday playing my plant controller (yes this is a dominator question) and I used roots frequently. The animation was clear. Vines come out of the ground and wrap around people. and immobilize them. I bought Roots with my Dominator today, and every time I use it, the animation is my toon throwing spores/dust at the targets. The animation looks slightly different from spore burst. It seemingly does nothing to the targets. I've probably used it 30 times, and it has never showed roots coming out of the ground, or immobilizing people. I have two level 10+ Acc TOs in it, and I'm level 11.

 

Back in the day I had a plant dom, and I swear it's animation is roots coming out of the ground.

That sounds like the animation for Seeds of Confusion. It could be a bug of some sort.

Do you think respecing might fix it?

 

That being said, what would you recommend for being the best way for me to get help with this?

Respeccing might fix it. If not I'd suggest making a video showing it and either post int he bug formum or submit a support ticket.
