PlatinumHero Posted June 28 Posted June 28 I'm liking what I've done with the exception of the epic powers. I'm just not sure which pool to choose from because I don't think any of them fit. I also inquired on Discord about regen tanks wanting high defense because they sort of need to be hit to gain stacks of Reactive Regen, to which a couple people said their test regen tanks had about mid-teens for defense, but while trying to stack +heal, regen and recharge I just obtained a high defense, though once combat starts Evasive Maneuvers loses it's defense. I'm also about 150 hp above the cap when Second Wind is active, but I personally don't think it's a big deal until I get the +hp accolades. I want to keeps flight unless something better could be obtained with jumping, I love SJ. Thanks to anyone that takes the time to help. 😁 Tanker (Regeneration - Electrical Melee)2.mbd
Spaghetti Betty Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Allo! Welcome to Regen tanking! 5 hours ago, PlatinumHero said: I also inquired on Discord about regen tanks wanting high defense Regen absolutely does not need to build DEF at all. Don't be misled by the tiny little +20% DDR they stuck in Ailment Resistance. To me, that equivalates to giving a whiny child a fun-size KitKat so they stop complaining! It's not going to do much at all in the long run, so why bother? You're better off training RES and Recharge! To that respect, I feel like your approach is a bit lopsided. I understand S/L resist is important, but some of the most deadly attacks in the game come from E/N sources as well! You should do what you can to get those resists higher. And another point I'd like to add is that your attack slotting is very, very underwhelming! I'm not saying you have to proc bomb everything like I do (That's totally what I'm saying) , but slotting Havoc Punch with Fortunata Hypnosis means it's only ever going to do its base damage, and that's kind of whack! You can move Hecatomb there and put Absolute Amazement in Boxing instead! Oh, another thing you really should be looking at is stacking Slow RES. -Recharge is one of the most prevalent debuffs in the game and really cramps Regen's style. There are a number of IO sets that can do this outside of Winters, but they're going to be the most efficient at it. You can also use them to build F/C RES, so something to consider! Also, consider a different Epic choice. Physical Perfection isn't doing much for you stat-wise, and it's just a mule at best. You'd be much better off searching for another utility or damage option from the other pools available! Anyways, I think this is how I would do it! Tanker (Regeneration - Electrical Melee).mbd I like to try and maximize damage output as much as possible, and while my global recharge would be slightly lower in my build compared to yours, I make up for it by utilizing Force Feedback: Chance for +Recharge in a few things, namely Lightning Clap. You can spam this in a mob for good control and jolting yourself with a pretty reliable +100% global recharge as long as you hit a good amount of targets with it! RES numbers would be made up with a few tools to use during combat: Rune of Protection, Melee Core Embodiment, Barrier Core Epiphany, and Eye of the Magus/Demonic Aura. Sure, it's going to end up being extremely active, but that's always been the name of the game with Regen! Mainly on Excelsior. Find me in game @Spaghetti Betty. Nemu Posted Sunday at 07:50 PM Posted Sunday at 07:50 PM Not the same build as an regen/elec tank but, the thought process behind using the toolkit available to you instead of shoehorning defense + S/L resist on every build applies. Unlike Betty, I would take thunder strike and rotate KDs with lightning clap with it. Betty likes cross punch because it is a great pool attack for damage focused builds, I prefer TS for its KD and Stun synergy with lightning clap.
