Range buff confusion - Poison

I don't understand what the Power Range means in this regard.  I understand the 15 ft radius under Effect Area but this is a self toggle PBAOE.  It accepts range enhancements and it only affects the 70 ft Power Range.

It's probably a bug holdover from the MM power that it replaces.  That power is activated on one of your pets (or possibly all allies?) And therefore could accept range enhancements.

As you probably guessed, the pic is from a Defender - but I wanted to just clarify that upfront.  Yeah it's probably a bug.  It does accept range enhancements so it isn't just a text issue.

Yeah, I double checked CoD before I posted to see if it was just text or if it actually does accept range.

Poison was released as a MasterMind set in i6. It was proliferated to controllers and corruptors in i21 and defenders in i25. The MM T9 is Noxious Gas, a ranged power that applies an AoE debuff around a henchman. (One of the worst powers in the game. It has a 20s duration and 300s recharge, and none of the debuffs can be enhanced.)

 

The range issue with Venomous Gas has been reported as a bug multiple times going back at least 2 years.
