Call it a Danger Room, a Practice Room, or what have you... many or even most superhero teams in the comics have some kind of training room where the heroes can practice their moves.  It would be really nice if something like that could be added to Bases in this game.

 

It might be something as simple as a variety of Training Dummies... some that don't fight back, perhaps some that do.  Make them look like crash test dummy robots, or something.


Another option might be to do something like Champions Online has, where you can choose an enemy, their numbers and ranks and go fight them in a generic room.

 

A third option might be to give us Architect access in our base, both a terminal to set up a mission/arc, and a transporter to enter it.

 

There are likely other possibilities, but the general point is, it would be nice to be able to make a training room in our base with targets we can actually attack.

This has been brought up many years prior and without an screenshot to quote from exaclty, I think the reason why it can't be a thing is apparently a code issue with entering an instance directly from an SG base (though in reverse this is clearly not an issue).

Can't you essentially do that by creating AE missions?

Maybe just list them all in the AE as "Danger Room: [name]"

 

I'm assuming it would be easier to add AE access to a base item than make a room in a base PvE and mark characters in the base as enemies when they enter the room.

 

If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore.

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications)

Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case.

But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable.

Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

I've got to agre with Ultimo. 

 

I've seen some utterly brilliant fake danger rooms back on Virtue in the Live days.  Heck, I had a shooting range and a basic danger room with a fake giant spider created by clipping a bunch of things together.  It's not the same as having lie target dummies or even something like an AE access door for bases, which would probably be the truest copy of an X Men style danger room that you could get.

.. part - which I think would make it easier to find these "Danger Rooms" when searching in the AE.

 

I know that there are some pretty small mission maps.

Would you think that these would be single mission or maybe multi-mission with increasing difficulty.
