Best Melee Archetype and Pairing for Dark Armor?

Title mostly says it all.  I've had the idea bouncing around for a Dark Armor... something in my head for about a month now but am having a hell of a time settling on an AT or an attack primary that does well with it.

 

Qualifier, any build for it would be moderately budget without purples (because my god, the price).

Since the actual armors that dark provides are mostly resistance based, Tank or Brute would be best for AT due to their higher caps.   Dark melee is a popular choice because dark armor is endurance heavy and DM has dark consumption. 

 

I'd think Savage melee would be a good choice as well,  seeing as Blood Frenzy stacks grant endurance reduction.

I agree - Brutes and Tankers work best for resistance based sets with damage auras like Dark.

 

I've played a Rad Melee/Dark Armor Brute, and very much enjoyed the double damage auras.

It can also pair well with single target focussed sets with stuns - I've played a MA/Dark Brute here and a DA/Energy Melee tanker back on live. Oppressive Gloom means your stun attacks stun bosses.
