I didn't see anything in the patch notes about it, and I really hope it's a bug and not intentional...apparently it's no longer possible to combine lower-tier incarnate salvage into higher-tier.  Rare is missing from the Incarnate Shards menu, and both Rare AND Very Rare are missing from the Incarnate Threads menu.  If lower-tier salvage can't be combined and have to either drop or be created using Empyrean merits, it's going to be a LOT harder to craft even tier 3s, let alone tier 4s.

I was unaware we could ever combine lower tier incarnate salvage into higher tier incarnate salvage. I was only aware of the ability to downgrade higher tier incarnate salvage to lower tier. Can anyone other than the author verify this for me please?

Edit: Also, I don't remember being able to buy rare or very rare incarnate salvage with threads. I swear they could only be bought with merits. Can anyone other than the author verify that for me too please?

It was an inf sink.. basically you could always combine up, but you needed all 4 common pieces to equal one uncommon, and 4 uncommon pieces to equal 1 rare and a few million inf if I remember correctly (maybe 5 mil for common->uncommon and 25 mil for uncommon->rare?)

This functionality has moved to Prometheus in the O-zone, but its undocumented in the patch notes.
