Since the winter event started, I've been noticing a delay on the snow effect. It doesn't appear until I've been away from the tram for a few seconds and it remains even after I am back in the tram for a few seconds. So I fly off from cover in a clear sky for a while and suddenly I find myself in snow and when I get back 'inside', it is now snowing in the building for a short while.

I am aware it is attached to the character. Though maybe its interval should be shortened rather than be every few seconds? Every few seconds makes for some odd weather in the game.

The lag when transitioning into/out of cover on the snow effect goes back all the way to the first Winter Event back on Live; having the check occur more often would slow down other parts of the game. It's a minor enough issue that I think the HC staff would need to be pretty bored to go after.

 

I do think, though, with the example of snow around your character, it should be possible to make a similar localized visual for rain, even if it's not going to change the appearance of flat surfaces like streets and roofs.
