Being logged back into CoV after many years, dark years where I'd made grudging peace with ever seeing the Rogue Isles again, is very special. Some readjustment is necessary. I have lots of questions but I'm trying to limit them for now as I work some things out.

Which of the four servers has the best population? Are any of them better suited for an EU (english speaking) player?

I realise this is a different server and a fresh start, but wondered if there's anyway to get some of the perks a CoX vet would've been used to. After years of subbing, my characters enjoyed many tailor and respec tokens (costumes seem to be universally available?). Pocket D teleport and jump pack, all the alt-travel abilities (beast run, etc), all those bits that we had over time. It's hard to readjust to being so completely new after enjoying vet perks.

In other words, is there any way to make the teething pains less painful? :-) Really excited to see the game alive again!

PS. Any good resource to see what is new/different from the live game from way back when? Many thanks in advance for your replies, can't wait to rob betray meet you all in-game!!

Welcome back! Everlasting and Indomitable are the newest shards and I recommend you go on those as they currently have double XP and the lightest load and as a EU player myself I can tell you any of the 4 servers will do just fine though. Everlasting is the unofficial RP server Indomitable the PVP one.

Yeah all veteran perks are accessed through the P2W Vendor which you can see on your map. It's mostly free or some influence if you already have a few.

All 4 servers are packed. Dont worry. And welcome! Be forewarned, the weekends are madness because of the amount of people playing. Dont get discouraged when/if servers are full or go down. During the week i literally had no problems at all. So do stick around and try on monday if the weekend ends up chaotic like last weekend. LOL my server, excelsior, is down as we speak. IDGAF! Im just as hyped to play as i was last week and having a freakin blast.

Veteran rewards are available from an aptly named "P2W Vendor" located near the trainer in the starting locations, it will be marked in the map. Most of the basic "essential" for low levels powers are free while others are available for a sum of influence.

As far as "what server to play" it is a pretty hard topic as the servers are pretty new, torchbearer(first server) has the most high leveled people followed by excelsior(second server), with queue loads to match, while the other two are newer and provide XP bonuses.

you dont really need to bother about a "to low" population all the shards are even higher populatet than durring the last years of COH, i dont know if a specific server is better for EU Players but i play on Excelsior

you can get most (if not all) of the vet perks at the P2W vendor

Torchbearer is probably most active, since it was the first, but all of Homecoming's servers are regularly crammed full with around 1500 concurrent players on each.

Thank you all for the helpful replies. I'm sure I can find the P2W vendor. I will opt for the double XP server, I love the game and will definitely enjoy the journey but well remember the pain of levelling many alts. My fondest memories are of teaming up for TFs, paper missions and helping people with unlocking things as they level. I think the next step is to remember how to use binds again, for mouse keys, MM pets, etc.

A lot to look forward to. To bring back to life some great characters but more importantly, join you all for grand adventures against some of the most colourful and kooky bad guys in gaming. Sincerest appreciation for the help.
