Can anyone help me with a Dark / Dark Build?

I like being a magic character for my enhancements and story. Dark / Dark seems fun and I know about the endurance issues but has anyone been able to build a Dark / Dark that later felt great once enhanced?

I have this build in Mids Hero Designer. it was the first Character I made in City of Villains (Should have Magic origin though). It was an endurance hog with SOs but got better when IOs were introduced.

Here is what I am at currently. I know I need new IO's / Inventions. I was Soul Mastery but way to much of an endurance drain. Energy mastery my endurance drainage is rather slow. I am using the Unrelenting Brute enhancements. Any recommendations?

The scrapper has obviously a different epic pool plus I am considering not getting Fighting pool and use other methods of mitigation such as Presence Pool or simply debuffing their to hit with Darkness Mastery, but for Brute, that's how I'd go. I never take Hasten on DA chars for concept reasons so Gloom will need to be incorporated in your ST chain and maybe slotted differently to fit in said chain.

I was told not to take Shadow Maul by the community because the animation was an actual DPS lost. My goal is for group content tanking with some ability to still be able to solo.

 

Personally, if you can manage to place yourself so that you're hitting at least 3 foes on average, then Shadow Maul is a pretty good power. It's only fault is that it requires more strategy; both in placement, and timing. If you think you'll need to heal soon, don't activate SM.
