Dragonfire Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Random suggestion. Low priority but it would be fun/funny to see dances added to the game, such as: *the floss. Very popular with the kids for a good while *Gangnam style. Flash in the pan popular, but still a fun song *Carlton Dance. See his Dances with the Stars or any given Fresh Prince episode *Hitch's dance. Arms bent, step side to side, stay in the box *That other guy's dances from Hitch. The Q-Tip, Robot, Sprinkler, etc. *This signature's move, whatever it is.
MetaVileTerror Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 I'm not sure the Dev team currently has a 3D rigger/animator with them. It might be interesting to use dance emotes as a good test of various would-be volunteers' skills, though. Have them make a dance emote to see if they have what it takes to work on more challenging animations. 2
Varkarrus Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 I agree. New emotes would be a good way for the dev team to practice the animation pipeline. This is the one I want to see 1
Dragonfire Posted September 9, 2019 Author Posted September 9, 2019 A few other dance emote ideas: Billy Jean Thriller Bad Cupid Shuffle Carlton Dance the Wobble the Charleston
Varkarrus Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 When you said The Wobble I thought you meant this
EyeLuvBooks Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 If we get one more animation before some of the more important issues are fixed I'm gonna send someone virtual faceslaps. As someone who tires of a whole team dancing around Ms Liberty when I'm trying to train I'd advocate a zone where such animations DON'T work. How about an area with increased camera controls and fewer light effects so players trying to get that 'perfect shot' can be happy and the rest of us can just play the game in peace?
MetaVileTerror Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Except animators usually aren't anywhere near programmers. We can have animators animating without it impacting coders in a terribly significant way. At least in most productions. Maybe City's spaghetti changes that. 1
