Especially since, as you level ... your pets lag further and further behind.  Take your "level 27" example.  By then, you have all six pets ... so your Tier 1s are only level 25, and your tier 2's are only 26.  When you dial notoriety up to +2/whatever ...?  You and your Tier 3 look at a minion and see orange, your Tier 2 sees red, and your poor Tier 1's see purple.  That's MINIONS, not Lieutenants, Bosses, Elite Bosses, or ArchVillains ...!

At which point, it's almost a surprise they live long enough to GET hit with an AoE.  😄

 

So ... maybe try dialing the +'s down a notch, and the x's up a couple, to compensate - so, instead of +1/x2, go for +0/x4; instead of +2/x4, go for +1/x6; and so forth.  You'll have significantly more, but individually less-dangerous, opposition to face.

 

 

Or we could just make it so all the pets con at the same level as you, I mean it's a blunt fix and has other ramifications (like massively upping the damage of the tier 1 and 2 pets). Currently it seems like Masterminds have a whole host of problems with them...

That would be WAY too strong, and they would all then need to be weakened to compensate .... which would bring you right back to the same problem you have currently.

After playing a couple of Mothership Raids earlier this week I would like to amend my earlier request to include content at the 35+ level. Please allow me to explain why:

 

My Necro/Dark MM is currently at lvl 37 with lvl 40 Common IOs slotted. He's built more to support his pets than to fight, having only one direct attack himself. I had not taken an MM into an MSR since we came back so I was not sure what to expect. In short, it was a disaster for me and all of the other pre-50 MMs in the League.

 

When you're in a League the amount of xp that you gain is based on how many targets you actually damage AS A TEAM. So even if you're doing great, if the rest of the team is not then the xp for the whole team suffers. We had three of them in our team and our xp sucked. I was whispering to the others to ask how they were doing and the result was pretty much the same all around: T1 pets died within a minute of summoning, T2s lasted longer and the T3 was usually up for most if not all of the fight. So we were down more than half of our firepower due to no fault of our own. We were't scraping the rim trying to pull targets in...we were sitting in the middle of a bowl filled with green numbers and the pets STILL died.

 

There is no 'Difficulty' setting for the MSR that I know of. It's not a matter of how good or bad our builds are. MM pets are too fragile...period.
