Warlawk Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 Back in the day, Sandolphan's numpad binds opened the amazing world of Masterminds for me. The ease of use and control offered by these binds is what made the AT playable for me and led to a lot of good times. There is a brief article explaining how they work found here on the wiki. The article provides the basis of how the whole things works but only provides example bind files for Mercenaries which tends to be the least played set for the AT. Since I love Masterminds, in the month that I've been back I've rolled everything except Mercs and Ninjas (Both of which I played extensively on live!) and hand written the bind files for them. Since the work is already done, I figured I would do what I can to give back to this amazing community and post them here for everyone to use. I have attached a .rar with bind files for all sets. The .rar can also be found for download on my Google Drive here. I will also include the text from the files in the following posts for people who prefer to do it that way. I've made a couple changes from what is listed in the wiki article to make things run smoother (in my opinion). I've used the bindloadsilent command so that you will not get a bind loaded message spammed into your system chat every time you use a bind and I've also used the powexec_location me command for summoning the minions so that they will automatically be summoned adjacent to you with a single button press instead of having to click a ground target to summon them. The Basics, how to use these binds The active controls can be categorized by which row the key appears on on the numpad. 1-Row and 0 : Select what pet to command 0: All Pets 1: "Minion" Pets 2: "Lieutenant" Pets 3: "Boss" Pet 4-Row : Set stance 4: Agressive 5: Defensive 6: Passive 7-Row : Issue command 7: Attack my target 8: Follow Me 9: Goto Other Keys: Summons and Upgrades / : Summon "minion" pet * : Summon "Lieutenant" pet - : Summon "Boss" pet + : Equip (First Upgrade) Enter: Upgrade (Second Upgrade) Instructions for doing things the easy way. Step 1: Create a folder in your C drive called Binds. All my bind files are written with that path in mind. If you need to use a different path you will need to edit the text files to refer to the path you have chosen. Step 2: Unzip/Unpack the MMBinds.Rar file into that folder. Step 3: Log into your mastermind and type /bindloadfile "C:\Binds\POWERSETNAME.Txt" , obviously replace POWERSETNAME with your power set of choice such as Mercs, Demons, Bots etc. The quotes are important as it will not load anything with a space (Summon Demons) if you do not use them Step 4: Go. Warlawk Posted July 17, 2019 Author Posted July 17, 2019 How to do things manually Should you feel the need to do things manually, it is fairly easy to do so. Step 1: Create a folder. I used C:\Binds because it's very basic and I wanted to be able to share these with my kids without needing to modify for pathing if I put it on an alternate drive that they may not have. Step 2: Create the All.txt File. This is a file that you will need for any and every power set. This allows you to issue commands to all 3 tiers of your pets at the same time. Step 3: Create four more text files. You will need one base file for your power set (Bots, Mercs, Demons etc) and then one file for each tier of pet. These are what allow you to issue commands to specific tiers of pet. The All.txt is listed below and attached, the text needed for each power set is in the posts following this one. If you need to save your binds to a different location simply change all instances of C:\Binds\POWER.txt to the path that you have created for your bind folder. numpad4 petcom_all aggressive numpad5 petcom_all defensive numpad6 petcom_all passive numpad7 petcom_all attack numpad8 petcom_all follow numpad9 petcom_all goto lctrl+decimal petcom_all dismiss All.txt Numpad binds for Masterminds - A collection of Farming focused builds - MM /Time guide for all primaries @Zen Warlawk on Indomitable, @Warlawk#1697 in discord. FrierFarmer Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 (edited) I noticed that a text file for Bodyguard Mode is missing from each power set. It would also require an additional entry in the main file for each power set. decimal "bind_load_file PATH\POWERSETNAME.txt$$petcompow POWER Follow Defensive" Edited August 29, 2020 by FrierFarmer add decimal bind
Col. Kernel Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 (edited) First off, thank you for publishing this. I'm "recently" back to Homecoming and haven't leveled any of my MMs yet. I run my MM binds a bit differently. I dislike loading the file from disk for each tier of pet (or for any other binds) simply because you're tied to that computer for that character. So I have a bind file that creates binds. Also, my henchman buffing is handled by quickly tapping the decimal (numpad . ) key. Here's my BeastMastery bind file for example. ctrl+NUMPAD1 powexec_location self "Summon Wolves" ctrl+NUMPAD2 powexec_location self "Summon Lions" ctrl+NUMPAD3 powexec_location self "Summon Dire Wolf" ctrl+decimal "powexec_name train beasts$$powexec_name tame beasts$$target_custom_next mypet" NUMPAD0 "bind numpad4 petcomall agg$$bind numpad5 petcomall def$$bind numpad6 petcomall pass$$bind numpad7 petcomall att$$bind numpad8 petcomall fol$$bind numpad9 petcomall stay" NUMPAD1 "bind numpad4 petcompow wolves agg$$bind numpad5 petcompow wolves def$$bind numpad6 petcompow wolves pass$$bind numpad7 petcompow wolves att$$bind numpad8 petcompow wolves fol$$bind numpad9 petcompow wolves stay" NUMPAD2 "bind numpad4 petcompow lions agg$$bind numpad5 petcompow lions def$$bind numpad6 petcompow lions pass$$bind numpad7 petcompow lions att$$bind numpad8 petcompow lions fol$$bind numpad9 petcompow lions stay" NUMPAD3 "bind numpad4 petcompow dire wolf agg$$bind numpad5 petcompow dire wolf def$$bind numpad6 petcompow dire wolf pass$$bind numpad7 petcompow dire wolf att$$bind numpad8 petcompow dire wolf fol$$bind numpad9 petcompow dire wolf stay" I don't use a dedicated bodyguard bind because it's easy enough to select the tier of pet you want doing bodyguard duty and hit 58 or 85. I usually use add for target_enemy_near, and save multiply, divide, and subtract for buffing/debuffing commands from my secondary. I apologize for any errors in this example file, none of my MMs are high enough to even call their T2s yet. If you find errors let me know and I'll correct them. Edit: The Train Beasts never fires on my decimal bind. Pretty sure it would if I remove the target command. I'll have to think on this. Edited February 13, 2021 by Col. Kernel Updated info
Sandolphan Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 Thanks to Warlawk for posting the guide here. I thought I would add the bind chain version that was included in my original guide, as I noticed some players asking about it both on the forums and in game. It was meant to get you up and running quickly and easily, but many of the subsequent referrals and posts have not included it. If you don't want to mess with the text files version, you can simply copy/paste the AllPets bind and the three binds corresponding to your powerset into the chat window. That will activate the numpad system, albeit with fewer customization options than the more advanced text files version. Avernal Posted March 20, 2021 Posted March 20, 2021 6 hours ago, the mauler said: 1. Created a folder on c:: called Binds 2. Unpacked the MMBinds.rar into that folder ... 5. On chat line entered /bindloadfile "C:\Binds\Bots.Txt" Check what it's saying in the game chat window when you try the bindload file command - if it says it can't find the file, my guess is that you unpacked the RAR to c:\Binds, BUT left 'MMBinds' in there as an extra folder. The text files need to be sitting loose in c:\binds\ for this set-up to work. The tray you've got selected makes no difference - these are binds, not macros, they don't add anything to your trays.
the mauler Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 @Avernal thanks for the advice. I'll check into that.
