  1. In the other thread asking about water vs storm people are going crazy with the water jet slander. Saying to skip it, it isn't good, it's disappointing, etc. it's the best single target damage in the set and has an insta recast feature. If you don't take it your single target damage is severely gimped. To each their own, I guess. 🤷‍♂️
  2. My mids wont let me increase the level of my IOs using the shift + or whatever the shortcut is. I have to set them all to +5 with the drop down menu haha. I don't have them all like that in game, just hasten and the end reduction in against all odds. This is a fair point. I got those last two purple sets and have been playing the toon and he definitely performs better with those sets. I really underestimated those set bonuses and procs. that said, any feedback on incarnates would be welcome. I currently have a t3 cardiac but not sure if that is the best route.
  3. This is good feedback. I updated the build to match what you said, and added two pieces of blessing of the zypher to super speed at level 50 to give more ranged defense. I was teamed with a marine defender the other day and they said their shifting tides was doing almost 100 damage a tick 6 slotted for damage. I am not sure if anyone has played with this, but that seems like it may be worth re-arranging slots to get that damage cranked up on a toggle power.
  4. I made my first tanker ever and i went with shield/fire. I have him nearly IO'd out - i am still missing the Armageddon set in combustion. I searched the forums pretty heavily and could not find a build for this combo (i am sure one exists but i couldnt find it). I have been running +4/x8 content and still struggle. I feel like i lack damage. I can fight for a while but then i start taking hits eventually and just get worn down over time. From what i have read, i should be able to handle this content pretty easily. Looking for feedback on this build and what could be changed to make it better.   5. Hi everyone, I just completed my first tanker and have him mostly IO'd out (i am missing two purple sets). He is a shiled/fire tank and i am looking for some feedback. I understand that i should be able to pretty easily do +4/x8 content, but i seem to struggle a bit. Here is the build. I do not have any incarnate slots built yet. The two sets i am missing are the set in combustion and shield charge. I feel like i probably need more procs in but then i am giving up good set bonuses. Any feedback would be appreciated.   7. Primaries, I would say ice, fire, and water are all very good damage sets. Secondaries of course there is kin for very high damage buffs. More debuff focused sets I would say cold, rad and dark (I am a bit biased, I have 3 lvl 50 /cold corrs). Honestly, pretty much anything is serviceable. Play around with some sets and find something fun.

  10. i threw this together this morning. I haven't played this set yet, so keep that in mind. Some powers i am not sure if they are worth it. For example, Brine seems pretty lackluster to me. I would probably replace it with a travel power. I am sure a lot of people will take the Levithan for theme reasons. I tried one with Dark but didnt have enough room to get dark consumption and spirit drain and make everything else work together. With all the force feedback procs you should see that going off a lot (i have a water/cold that makes use of a lot of the +recharge procs and they go off very frequently). Shoal Rush, though kind of lack luster on the surface, reminds me of infrigidate in the sense it is an absolute proc monster and will hit hard, especially since the base recharge is 15 seconds. I wish i had an extra slot to get an accuracy in there but it should still connect most of the time. Anyway, just another idea on how you could build.
  11. I will try to throw one together tomorrow. I just got the mids update today and was looking at the set. I have been leveling my first tanker (all 50s I have are corruptors) and have played with a lot of /marine affinity toons since the update. They seem very strong while leveling. Great team buffs. Idk how they will perform at 50 since they seem to lack heavy debuffs but definitely seem fun. Made leveling a breeze.
  12. Did some retooling this morning. I still don't think it is as good as what i posted in my most recent post. Tried getting the most out of spirit drain and moving some stuff around, but it just isn't nearly as good across the board. I think i am going to build toward this and then can tweak once i am 50 and see how it feels. I have most of this already except for the two purple sets. I can use some lesser sets in the mean time to get a feel for it. I did move some slotting around to maximize resistance. I think it should be pretty sturdy.
  13. Great suggestions. I tried to work in sorcery to get rune of protection but needed to take too many powers to get to rune to make it work. I will try redoing some of the slots to get more slots into spirit drain and post an updated build.
  14. what would you replace the fighting pool with? Only thing i could really get that seemed worth while was the self rez from the epic pool and taking acrobatics.
  15. i have done multiple iterations of this build this morning. I did one with no fighting pool and after completing it i felt like the only thing i gained was dark servant and lost both defense and resistance. I am still not sure i am really gaining that much here. I ended up dropping tactics so i could keep fighting since that really helped boost defense and resistance - without fighting i felt like i was worse off than i was in the first build, except i got dark servant. I did one build where i dropped fighting but picked up soul transfer and acrobatics for hold protection. That build seemed ok, but again was losing a lot in way of defense and resistance since i did not have fighting. I went back and forth on the spirit drain slotting. It feels like a waste slotting it for damage but it doesn't take accurate to hit buff sets. Had a 4 slot purple set in there, but decided moving that slot and getting the small defense buff from artillery was better. This was because super speed was on. The endurance drain wasn't that bad.   16. I appreciate the feedback. In the early/mid 30s now and it feels weak. Partly because of low recharge and endurance issues. I will make some tweaks tomorrow and post an updated build.
  17. Back again with another build. Fire/dark corr was my main on live and i want to recreate him. Since i can use Epic pools this time, it looks a bit different, and i am struggling to find the slots. I would like to take fluffy, but i couldnt seem to squeeze him in. I usually go scorpion shield for soft capped defense to s/l and range, but i really wanted spirit drain on this build so going for higher resistances - not sure if this is the best route or if i should just go mace, take the shield and focused accuracy. That would open up some slots and power picks allowing me to take dark servant and probably assault or something else. I feel like endurance may be an issue though so having dark consumption i think is also nice. Any help/advice is appreciated. Fire Dark Corruptor - 2024.mbd

  19. I have edited these settings dozens of times. They always revert when I log out and back on. Does anyone have a fix for this?
  20. I ended up going Musculature Core. I tried the tier 3 of both radial and core and couldn't see the benefit of radial, but i did actually feel the extra damage. Thanks for the input guys. Any suggestions on which Lore or Interface to take? I took Barrier Radial for my Destiny slot - not t4 yet but it is t3.
  21. good idea with the D-sync enhancements. I initially didnt have super speed on this guy, but once i hit 50 i had to get it. Running across zones with just ninja run was just too slow. Once on the mission map not that big a deal but i dont know if i can get rid of it again. I havent used absorb procs before - i thought you had to use the power for them to work so the only place to put them would be a heal. That is good to know it will go off if it is just slotted.
  22. Infrigidate hits like a truck and is just part of my normal single target attack chain like this, though i could potenitally drop the accuracy IO. Sleet could definitely use another recharge IO, the one in there now is at +5 and it is up every 18ish seconds with global recharge and force feedback proc. Benumb i had one recharge but i was noticing it was missing, though it was before i had respeced into focused accuracy. I would like to have some additional slots in each of those powers to reduce cool down a bit, but i feel it is best optimized this way. I had not thought about intuition radial. The added range would be nice for the cones, but would kind of be a waste until i get past the first few levels since it initially only increases hold duration. As for the use of the build, no specific goals. I do usually team, but just trying to create a good build that is effective and contributes at a high level to team, but is also able to solo if i desire. *edit* I think i can get rid of the chance to hold proc in Gloom. I virtually never see it go off and that slot would be better in benumb or sleet probably.
  23. I just came back to the game a week or so ago and leveled up this dark/cold corr and have been having fun with him. I am torn between what ability to take for my alpha - i know i want to do Musculature but i do not know if i should go core or radial. The added to hit debuff would be nice, but the added damage would also be much appreciated. Anyone have strong beliefs here? here is my build if curious. Will post the mids file if anyone wants it. I just crafted Musculature boost but not sure which tree to follow. I am sure some of you have opinions here.
  24. wow this looks fantastic. I really appreciate it. I mostly play corrs, so i do tend to stand at range, though i go in and out of melee to get buffs (fulcrum, heatloss, etc). and to nuke. Cant wait to get this thing to 50 now! Thanks again for all the help and feedback!
