  1. 5 is just right and 6+ too many. That is how many fingers i have on one hand, the other hand is for steering. 🙂
  2. I ran a SR/Fire for a while before the FM pass. It was very good, but went back to my Rad/SS then Bio/SS. SR with Staff for that +resists would be very tough but a little weak in damage. Now if Staff got a good pass then that could be an awesome combo and thematic.
  3. You could say a Brute brings nothing to a team that a Scrapper/stalker or any dps or Tank can bring. But isn't that the same for most AT's?. Do you need a Sentinel with a blaster around? or a Stalker with a Scrapper around? Do we even need the Epic AT's? You can proc a Brute out just the same as you can proc any Scrapper/Stalker. Higher health and resist cap help, especially when buffed in a team. If i proc out a Fire/invuln Brute for example with 3k health and potential 90%resists it is worse than a procced out Scrapper with 2400 health and 75% resist cap?. Maybe Brutes could do with something unique to help them stand out more, but they are certainly not in a terrible place. Maybe reduce the Brutes AoE targets to 6 max and increase their damage some lol.
  4. If you check the profile and look at their activity all will become clear lol.
  5. Scrapper would look cool with that combo.
  6. I presume this refers to Fire melee still? The sword attacks aren't slower anymore they have been sped up considerably.
  7. I run a Time/Fire Defender with a good build. My defense is in the high 50's. I have huge +recharge in the build and self buffs, so my nukes are up very often (36sec Nuke). I also have heals. I can debuff enemy resists/defense and make them weaker. Fire secondary is as good as it gets for damage with a few procs added. The Defender does not feel weak at all. I tried the Corruptor version but it had reduced survival from buffs and weaker debuffs compared to the Defender and i had to alter the build slightly weakening it. Scourge is nice, but so are extra procs and stronger buffs/debuffs. You might just need to find a combo you like also.
  8. Surviving a pylon? It referred to Brute as damage dealer not for survival purposes. I don't think a Pylon has ever been used as a survival benchmark that i am aware of. Usually TFs etc do that.
  9. I think they said that you don't have to try to cap resists to Tanker levels on a Brute. You can be happy with Scrapper+ levels of survival and bump the damage up more if you so choose. As i have one of the top Brute pylon times i know what a Brute can do. Nice for others to know that they can have survival and damage and are in a good place vs Tankers/Scrappers ☺️ Brutes are very flexible. They can be built to near Scrapper damage or near Tanker survival or just take any ground in between. As long as they can not do both at the same time, that would be OP. As with any build though, adding more procs for damage will sacrifice you set bonuses.
  10. What if when Fury reaches max 100(85) the meter would light up and you can choose to click or not. Call this Rampage. The Brute gets a short duration buff (whilst retaining full fury) . This buff could be halving animation times of attacks or a +recharge/damage, reset all cooldowns, all attacks do a -resist debuff to enemies etc. Once this buff crashes the Brute can not gain fury for x amount of seconds and take a hit to endurance/recovery. I would not argue against increasing Brute resist/defense values slightly between Scrappers and Tankers to give them a little better middle ground.
  11. Invuln is a good secondary. It give good defense and resists. It also has +to hit which is good for any primary set. Invuln also gives +max health which for a Brute is much higher than Scrappers/stalkers. You can build trying to match a Tanker with resists and sacrificing damage 🤣 or just have Scrapper resists/defenses, as they don't seem to struggle surviving and pump that damage up 😎. You will not out damage a Scrapper (but you will a Tanker on a hard target) but if you are in a team with buffers you will benefit considerably more than a Scrapper/Stalker with a higher resist cap and near match Tanker survival. Don't make the mistake the usual suspects make by trying to match Tanker resists, play it as a damage dealer if you like, with potentially better survival than Scrappers/Stalkers. Play however and whatever you like. I am playing a damage orientated Defender at the moment and having a lot of fun, which is why we are here lol.
  12. I can see the benefit of it but i do question if it was actually needed. We do have Taunt also.
  13. I would prefer the AoE to be removed. It was never asked for in the Tanker update and many including myself spoke out about it. They are not setting kill records single target but rather the added AoE is proving a problem. Tanking/taunting was never an issue before.
  14. It is not the first time. They spammed me with thumbs down as a reaction. There was intent. Do i really need to search through posts and not just take my word for it? I am not lying, after all it is just a GAME. It has been stated in previous posts that Tanker changes should be rolled back or the damage scale reduced back to previous.
