    I have been searching both HIGH and LOW for a reputable PVP build for a SS / Rad brute, and I can't find one annnnnnywhere.

     

    Does anyone happen to have one (via mids) that they'd be willing to share? And/or would anyone just be interested in whipping one up? I can pay you in gratitude and positive affirmations! lol 🙂

  2. Hiiiiii. This thread is super expansive and in-depth! Impressive.

     

    Does anyone happen to have a build for a firey aura / street justice tank? I'm looking for a reliable, completed build (I can't adjust or 'fix' any builds cause I dunno what I'm doing LOL, so I'm looking for one that doesn't really need any tweaks).

     

    Anyone? Been looking everywhere.

    This might seem a technicality, but if players from outside the US use a time converter, it will probably give them the wrong time, and they'll be late by an hour.

    Calling all Everlasting supergroups, both large and small, short and tall! The Brigade will be hosting a GROUP THEMED costume contest, and we are looking for participants from any and all genres or themes! If you think you got what it takes to strut your stuff in a group of THREE OR MORE, then come show us what you're made of. Here are some details:

     

    WHERE: ECHO PLAZA (accessible via Pocket D by way of the truck stationed at the lower level blue side bar)
    WHEN: Friday, May 14th @ 8 PM EST
    WHAT: A group costume contest!
    THEME: No specific theme required - get creative! But it MUST be a group of THREE OR MORE 
    PRIZES: TWO 1 BILLION INFLUENCE PRIZES - 1B for best matching looks (ex: Power Rangers, Fantastic Four, etc.*) and 1B for best non-matching looks (ex: Justice League, Avengers, etc.*), as well as honorable mentions and purple enhancements for individual looks.
    WHO: Hosted by The Brigade, a Silver Age comic-book themed superhero team.

    *NOTE - we are only judging those groups with their own unique / original concepts! The examples mentioned above are ONLY meant to help describe the contest parameters, and thus should not be taken literally.

    You definately don't want to swap out combat jumping for anything.  That is one of the most valuable powers in the game in terms of movement and the defense bonus it provides is a plus.

     

    You dont need conserve power with this build - the performance shifter procs and the panacea procs generate enough energy to not need it.

     

    1. Swap out fly - put in super jump

    2. Swap out hover - put in bone smasher

    3. Deslot barrage - put those slots on bonesmasher.

    4. You have a free slot for whatever you want to put into where afterburner wss - even Conserve power if it makes you more comfortable.

     

    Other options You could use where AB was - is maneuvers or stealth.

    Ah sorry! I didn't realize CJ was already in there.

    For that matter swap it in place of hover or afterburner since you are swapping out fly anyway and deslot barrage in place of bonesmasher.  Easy peasy.

     

    But that invul build is unkillable.

    I'm already confused lol. 

     

    Shouldn't I do energy punch instead of barrage? I mean, I guess it wouldn't matter b/c one of them would have to be one slotted anyway... 

     

    So I'll be swapping out afterburner and putting SJ in it's place. I guess I could leave hover... could I swap out kick for combat jumping? Also, why no conserve energy? Is that unnecessary? Lol I wish I knew how I could just re-make this build with all my adjustments b/c I'm going to get lost unless I can get this all down in one set *facepalms*

    That one uses flight tho... I'm looking for a build that incorporates SJ as the main travel power. Kinda over the flight pool for right now lol. And no bone smasher? *gives questionable look*

And what I'm asking is how feasible it would be to make certain villains at a higher scale just for the missions / story arcs, and not having to create different concepts or enemy types within the enemy set all together. Also, I agree that the reverse wouldn't be fun (is that what you were inferring w/ your Rikti invasion vs. lvl 5 something example?). I was talking moreso being able to play lower level content specific to missions / story arcs / contact stuff, at higher levels. 

     

    I was utilizing the Council as an example of an enemy type that is looked at as 'easy', but people still love to play them at the higher levels - and those same lower level Council missions with the same types of range/abilities in the enemy set would be just as fun to play at 50, as they would 10, 15, 20... I don't think that just because you wouldn't think it's fun to play those same lower level missions with the same type of ranges/abilities within the enemy set, means others wouldn't. I'd love it, personally!

     

    Take Frostfire, for example. That's a really low-level mission arc that could totally be transferred to a higher level, and still be just as enjoyable/challenging. There was a wide range of enemy types via the Outcasts that you saw in those missions. *shrugs* 

     

  12. Right. I'm asking how possible it would be to just remove that in-mission lvl scale all together. Only for the contact stuff, and the mission arcs.

     

    And I don't think it being 'too easy' should be reason not to do it? Or be the cause for an overhaul of the entire concept. Take Council, for example - I think they're an enemy set that's seen at a wide range of different levels, and they're def more the 'easy' types - and people love them for that! There are Council-specific PUG groups in PI all the time for that very reason haha. 

  13. ...I have a queeeeeeestion that has PROBABLY already been asked / answered before, so my apologies for the repetitiveness. How possible would it be to add a leveling scale for ALL missions and arcs, so you could run through any contact at any lvl? I.e. you could do the Frostfire mission arc at lvl 50, or something. Has that ever been considered? It would only be for the actual missions themselves. Those enemies in the typical zones would just stay at whatever zone cap their set to, but for the actual missions via the contacts, they would be set to your lvl / your mission difficulty setting. 

    I feel like that could really increase content play-thru across the board. It seems like lots of people now (including myself) only wanna play their toons once they're at lvl 50 and slotted up.... but if given the option, they'd totally run those lower level missions if given the chance. I don't know how realistic this would be, or how obtainable... but I'd love to see it!
