Issue 27: Second Chances, Page 1 - Out Now!
Doctor Megalomaniac replied to Jimmy's topic in Announcements
I mean last week. I've been playing the game regularly for most of this year, didn't really get around to it for the last week or two, then logged in yesterday and immediately noticed the graphics felt crisper than they had been previously. One of my characters has a mostly dark red color scheme, and just looking at him in the character select screen he seemed noticeably more vibrant then before. Not necessarily a different shade, he just felt like he popped more, if that makes any sense. I ran a mission with Family mobs that I have definitely done before, and for the first time I noticed that the brick-sized enemies had suits with pinstripes. Up until now I'd always thought they were just wearing white. I thought that I was just noticing things that I hadn't seen before until my roommate logged in and he says the graphics definitely feel different to him too. Like I said, absolutely not complaining, just wondering what about this update would have triggered the change. -

Apologies if this goes in another thread, although it isn't a bug, as such. Friend and I both feel like the game looks different now- feels like the colors and textures pop a little more than they used to. He swears he's seeing motion blur at longer ranges than he used to. I'm not complaining, I think it all looks better actually, but I'm confused because we both scoured the patch notes and didn't see any intended largescale graphical changes going down. Was anything altered on the back end that could have caused this? -
I was able to resolve the issue on my own, but I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem and would like to report it as I have never heard of anything like it before. I was entering the Peregrine Island police station while Hovering and I have to assume something happened to my camera view, because I found myself at eye level with the floor and able to see through it. I could still interact with objects- I was able to leave the station, but even wandering around PI I was still walking around in the ground, able to see under the texture. I could fly, but I couldn't see my character where I was in third person view or not, and occasionally when I interacted with doors I saw my fire aura above and on the right side of my field of vision. Traveling to a different zone, attempting a bank mission, and going to a super base didn't change anything, nor did returning to the character select screen. Returning to my desktop, and then restarting tequila and the game seems to have fixed the issue, but that was one of the trippiest ten minutes of my life. Any ideas if my camera view got moved to underneath my character's feet or what?

EB/Elec/Elec Looking for Critique
Doctor Megalomaniac replied to Doctor Megalomaniac's topic in Sentinel
Huh, I could have sworn I had some knockback to knockdown in there. I mostly solo with this character anyway, so I don't think it's too much of a problem, so no, I don't think I'll be scrapping this build based on anyone's comments. 😉 @oldskool I plugged in the suggestions you made and the numbers do look better, think I'm gonna build it and take it for a test run so I have some practical data before fine-tuning it. Thank you and everyone else who contributed, I really appreciate it. -
EB/Elec/Elec Looking for Critique

Thank you very much for the input. I honestly have no idea how much recharge is enough or too mach, it seems like a lot of people shove as many LotGs into their builds as they can regardless of what else they're doing, but I just couldn't find the slots. I'll figure out a way to add one to Hasten. I was already on the fence about Blast vs Bolt, wound up going with the former largely because my issue in game has been getting WTFPWN'd by unexpectedly strong mobs. ...of course only now that I say that out loud I realize in those cases I wouldn't be able to get Defensive Opportunity up in time to make a difference anyway. That's decided then. I honestly have Ragnarok in the build because that's the only full set of purples I already have. Is it bad? I'm sure that if there was a generally agreed upon sub-par purple set it would be the one I immediately grabbed. >_> Or is it just sub-par for the build/sentinels in general? I could always pass it on to one of my alts I suppose. I kind of like Paralyzing Jolt but without the slots to make it work I'm not married to it. Any other powers that could serve better in it's place? -
This is an updated version of the character I played on live based on an OC I had previously so a few of the choices I've made for this build are for aesthetic/thematic reasons, but I was fairly happy with how this character held together while I was levelling. Now that I'm unlocking Incarnate powers and doing level 50 content I find he's still pretty beefy aside from the occasional difficulty spikes that the game likes to throw at me on an increasingly frequent basis, so I've been lurking this board for tips and built this version based on the advice I've seen. Right now I want to make sure there aren't any huge mistakes being made that I failed to notice, being fairly new to building "optimized" characters. I have fairly modest goals for this character, I'd mostly like to be able to solo missions and not drag down groups in incarnate trials. Am I on the right track? I'm working on a triple Ice blaster of my own and this is the build I've put together based on comments in this and other threads. I'm also curious what other people might think, since I'm pretty new to theorycrafting in this game. I've been trying to use the in-game e-mail function to send an enhancement to another character on my account but every time I do the character I just sent the e-mail on just claims the enhancement and the e-mail doesn't show up. This just started happening today and continued after I logged off and then logged back in. I don't know if this is an actual bug or maybe something is off with my settings? I haven't changed anything on purpose but that's never stopped the game before.
