  1. Bingo. That was my thought process...is that viable? Or is the -to hit not enough to stack? Anyone have experierence with Water? It does also seem like another viable combo.
  2. Hey all, So! I'm thinking of a new toon using Elec Affinity. The -end drain aspect intrigues me and I need to find a primary that plays well with it. My top concerns for the primary are: 1) Damage 2) AoE 3) Durability I was thinking of Fire/, Dark/ and Water/ -Fire/ because of the high damage and AoE goodness -Dark because I think it would be interesting to drain their end and then have them waste their remaining end whiffing at me (-to hit) -Water b/c I've never tried it and I heard its also major AoE fun. This is probably just gonna be a fun toon to play on teams with (unless if becomes better than I imagined) so i'm not married to any primary yet. If you all think of a better primary for my interests, please let me know! Thanks! -Gammos
  3. I'm late to the party but I have a lvl 50 Psi/Ice Stalker that I truly love. I use Chilling Embrace and I love it. I can see reasoning for it being a situational power but I think it's neat. I just fully spec'd out my guy so we'll see how it all unfolds after further testing.
  4. Didn't think of this. Thats a great point. I could definitely place a couple ATO's in my lowbie toons for enhanced gameplay. I have a Psi/Ice Stalker that I'm looking to spec out and will definitely utilize the ATOs. I don't know much about the boosters and the mechanics of them (save for using them to increased the % of an enhancement) but I will look more into the buy/sell aspect of them!
  5. Great times... I was so excited when they were first released. I could never get into Khelds and was thrilled at how my Widow performed. This is why the my Widow here was one of the first toons I rolled and the first I got to 50. It's also the reason why it's taken me so long coming up with a build I was interested in. I didn't want to waste inf in a build that under-performed for one of my fav toons.
  6. Honestly, i'm a casual player with may alts. I wanted to put together a relatively inexpensive build that didn't rely on ATOs or Purples. But you're right, I could definitely at least use the Scrapper proc. I'll work it out on the next build version.
  7. Yea I agree, I probably could get away without using Tough. I'm soft-capped positionally. Melee: 50%, Ranged and AoE 48% (without ML) This is why I wanted to use the test server to tweak things here and there. SN: I'm developing a Fort build and using your excellent build as a frame 😄
  8. My NW was actually my first 50 here on HC. I loved Veats since they were first introduced 💪
  9. Hey all! So, I know the general consensus is that Forts are superior to NW's. However, I am really digging this build I have made on Test. I didn't want to purple her out but I still wanted to be a viable threat to these baddies. I would love some feedback. I ran a few tests last night and I noticed I was able to run +4/8 without a scratch but it took forever to kill mobs. Also, whenever I faced my fellow Arachnos, I suffered rather horribly even at +3/5 (having no DDR sucks lol). Everything else I've faced so far was great. Notes: I don't rely on ML for my defense (which is why it's not turned on in this build). It's more of an oh sh*t or team buff button. No hasten also. I tried not to rely on that in this build. I am soft-capped for normal content and I know I could have used more procs but I'm not as good with my Mids-Fu as you good people are. Thanks in advance for the solid feedback! Build Copy/Paste

  13. Hey all! I recently fell in love with this toon and I got him to 50 yesterday. I decided to try my hand at a build. I think /Nin might be one of my fav secondaries these days! I love the mobility of this combo. He's super agile and doesn't really get rooted at all apart from eviscerate (which I don't mind b/c I can activate it while jumping in/out of mobs).   14. Ok, I think I got something I can work with in-game until I can purple this guy out. I caved and put in the Dom specific Enhancements to add recharge and ranged def. I believe I have enough for perma-dom, just about soft capped range def and some proc in there for good measure. Thanks again for everyone's help.   15. Jeez! That's exactly why I LOVE Dark. So many amazing benefits. I didn't even consider the strength of the -tohit factor. My issue with this build it is appears to be extremely tight and every power can have a case usage. As of now, I could live with skipping Shadow Field. When I get home from work i'll rework the build and look at numbers for Power Push as you suggested. One thing I know, is that no matter what, the potential for dominance (no pun intended) is high.   16. That was actually an oversight while planning on Mids. A side affect of late night planning that I will correct :) . The issue for me is I feel like there are too many great options to narrow down. I find myself using every control power liberally as I've been leveling up. The only exception is I don't use Shadow Field as much, but it feels like I shouldn't get getting rid of any of them haha. Honestly, I would like to get rid of the Melee powers but I could never with all of the damage potential there. Is Bone Smasher really necessary since I have TF and WH?
  17. So I did some tinkering and came up with a non-purple, recharge focused build. I know this isn't top tier but I wanted to bring it up for critique and see if the good people here could help fill in the gaps. I am not married to the Soul patron pool so if anyone has a reason against it, i'm open. Eventually I would like a perma-Dom build with nice accuracy. Those are my two top priorities as of now.   20. Question about Whirling Hands: The Game data suggests that it should be hitting for WAY more than it actually does. The Mids data has a different damage total than the game. I'm not sure if there's a glitch or what but one of those is incorrect. At lvl 35 Mid's says the base value hits for 125.7 (Unslotted) The in game data says it should hit for 339.46 (Unslotted) Anyone have experience with this?
  21. Thank you all so much for the insight! So far I really feel crazy powerful, albeit very squishy. I have no sets yet and i'm taking my time and enjoying the ride. I would disagree with you here. Dark has an amazing amount of control from what I see. A very fast charging AoE stun, Fear, Confuse, AoE holds/ Immob etc. I was actually impressed with just how much I could lock down once when I was in a council map and our team accidentally aggro'd the ENTIRE room haha. Not to mention all of the delicious -to-hit. I would def recommend you try one out :) So far i'm loving it! I will look into the Psi APP, thanks for the suggestion! I was leaning towards Primal because of ET and conserve power (he's an end hog) but i'm not married to that choice. Thanks again everyone!
  22. Hello all, I just made myself a new Dom and I like him so far. Finally got to 27 so i'm about to respec and get some IOs. I was searching through the Dom forums and I couldn't find a single Dark/Energy thread of build example...I wonder what that means... *Insert conspiracy music* In all seriousness tho, I'm digging the pair so far but I would like some feedback from anyone that's tried the pairing before. I typically prefer a little more AoE in my toons but theres a lot of AoE possibility and I have a feeling this toon will mature well. What say you all? -Gam

  24. Afternoon all! I am currently really enjoying my Psi/Ice Stalker. I got him to 41 today and while i'm leveling and learning good play tactics for the AT, I had a question thats been on my mind... Do people use CE in normal battle? If so, does it affect your ability to go back into hide often? I find myself having to move back until i'm back in Hide because while visible, CE affects enemies and keeps me from going back into hide. I actually respec'd out of Placate for this reason. I found I wasn't using it enough and when I did use it, CE stopped it from really working. I love using CE now and I love /Ice's assortment of mitigation besides shields, but I want to be as efficient as possible in my role once I turn 50 (PvE and TFs). What say you, good people? Anyone with experience with /Ice on stalkers?
