Teams looking for damage probably already have a Kinetics buffer, in which case a second one won't add much. The typical debuff sets will stack ad infinitum (Rad, Dark, Sonic, Storm, Time, etc.)

I am really really missing Vet rewards! I was a subscriber the whole time, from a month or so after launch right up until everything went automatically FtP before shutdown... So when they introduced Vet rewards I was stacked! lol
So many good times!
(can vet rewards be unlocked? that would be great!)
Do you know about the P2W vendors (one in Atlas park, others scattered around)? They will "sell" you (often for free) a lot of the Vet Rewards.

I have to admit I'd be surprised if that happened to me. Name does appear inoffensive.

Have only read a few pages of this thread, so pardon me if this point has been discussed, but it strikes me that the utility of this change is rather low.
Let's say I want to name my new Brute and decide Brutality is the perfect name. But it's taken already on the server my friends are on! Oh no!
Thanks to the new policy however, there's a chance it will become available in the future if it gets released due to inactivity. I am determined to get that name.
So how do I do that? Name release could occur at any moment over the coming...let's see...months and years.
Am I going to log in constantly over the coming months and years to try for the name? That seems a bit deranged. It will result in stress and disappointment for me over and over yet have a pretty low chance of ever resulting in my getting the name.
The only tangible benefit I can see from this change is to give the Homecoming team some cover from people whining about not getting an ideal name. "See, we did something about it." Odds are pretty poor any given player will get a name they covet.

Ki Push is hysterical. Can it be slotted for knockback distance? Hellion Golf in super slo-mo!

So....it's Tuesday! Anything planned?

As a controller, you should not need to worry so much about your personal defenses. You should be using your primary to prevent the mobs from acting and your secondary to mitigate what you can't prevent with your primary.
Just passing through and wanted to say this is the most succinct summary I've seen of a team Controller's role. It should be at the top of a guide...maybe every guide.

Good tips. I had 53 alts and had the very most fun (probably 80% solo) leveling my controllers to 50. To me, this archetype makes you feel the most "super."
One of the few things the original devs got wrong was saying "nobody likes fighting statues." I ADORE fighting evildoers rendered helpless by my awesome powers. Take that, Malta Sapper!

I considered trying to initiate TT myself, but I was never one of the founders nor organizers, just a happy participant. Decided to wait a bit and see who -- wait for it -- picked up the gauntlet.
Glad to see it's returned! I will join at my next opportunity!

Sailboat here - Mostly Guardianite back in the day. Bunch of characters, I liked to switch things up.

Seems like a positive net gain to me -- I can control my own power use. Asking other players to worry about my toggles was both fruitless and came across as bossy.

It's been a long...uh...time since I played Time, but it is a well-regarded set. Lovecraftian would seem perfectly suited for Dark Miasma, since it spams tentacles.
Also give some thought to Mind Control.

I can't help but wonder if most of the ED haters were those horrible Tanker players who insisted nobody else play while they herded the map for a Blaster. Ugh.
