You lost me with Shuriken Pin. Ninjas were never attributed to pin targets with shuriken.

Think of another way a ninja could pin a group in place without it being caltrops.

The Poison Gas ability would make more sense as a targeted AoE.

Too easy. Plus, I see it as a breathable attack like Neurotoxic Breath.

Call Genin raises the question of whether they would be the basic genin ninja MMs start with or if they would have any of their upgrades.

This would simply be addressed by the amount of powers required to be on par with other pets.

I'd almost suggest looking into the Poison, Nature and Traps support set for some extra powers to diversify it a bit.

I want it to be realistic without and slightly different without adding any additional animation needs for the devs.

Yeah they aren’t going to be available in THAT form because redoing every animation in the game to adapt them for animating while standing on hover board would be a colossally inefficient use of developer resources.

You're likely right, but if it can be doe with stances like ninja run, maybe it's just a case of finding the starting position and animating normally.

First of all, we're talking about control sets - not using other sets to compensate

Trollers control. If you want to do damage, invest in other pools. Trollers relied on containment back in the day, now you have proc slotting.

I have a Dark/Time based on a comic book hero who uses flight and fighting to clobber held opponents. Works exceptionally well as the secondary pool attacks have short cast times. If that doesn't work for you or doesn't fit your theme, then there isn't much for you to do, but the game doesn't cater for every single possibility.
Maybe try playing on New Dawn to see if you like freeform slotting?

The game is easy, let's be honest. You don't need IOs or incarnates for a number of sets. There is a time intensive fix.

I agree the game is too easy at its core, at least for veterans which I would guess make up 80% of players, but defense is not the reason.

There are many AE missions and even incarnate content that floor the defense boosted characters, especially those that have no DDR.

My 70% boosted blaster can have its entire defense red zoned by one praetorian mob.

The changes made to Crey and the new difficulty settings are an excellent step to balancing out the game but atm these settings only apply to TFs.
