  1. With the last building finally finished, the Village of Myst Haven is now open (officially) to the public. A complete tour will take place Sunday, October 25 at 3:00 p.m. CST (5:00 pm EST and 1:00 p.m. PST). That's tomorrow! Naturally, the base is open for touring right now, as the base code is MYSTHAVEN-16373. Anyone can go in, take a look and see what's been done. Tomorrow's tour will be filled with the backstory of the base/village. Your tour guide will be Sheriff John Tiberius Walker (Operative Violet Rose Bravo... my character). Tour will start around 3:15 p.m to give people time to get in, and will be completely through role play (so, everybody gets to see me try to do a lazy Texas drawl). This will also be a time that if anyone wants to join the SG (Canyons of Steel) in order to be a resident of Myst Haven. As we go through the tour, you'll get an idea of what the base and SG is like. It's my hope that Myst Haven will be an open rp hub for players to come and just hang out as an alternative place to rp. So come on down tomorrow afternoon (this afternoon if you're reading this on Sunday, October 25 in the morning... and if reading if later in the week, well, it's done, but I may do more later).
  2. Some additions to Myst Haven. Decided that Rotham's Home & Agro is not going to be a business. One last thing to build, Myst Haven Medical Centre. One major attraction Myst Haven has... Sharks in the harbour!
  3. I am indeed a graphic designer. Technically the production manager for a weekly newspaper. We publish Fridays and put together the layout on Tuesdays, uploading all finalizing PDFs to the webprinter in Estevan. Which reminds me, Myst Haven needs a weekly newspaper.
  4. A few more additions to Myst Haven! Myst Haven is a village of 250 people, ten minutes north of Salamanca. The village is divided into four districts (with the cemetery at the central point of the village... more on that later). Olde Towne district is most likely the oldest of the four districts. The inhabitants are more akin to the Amish, as they shun most aspects of technology (such as televisions, radios, most computers ... they do have a cellphone for the community). Many of the families can trace their history in the area back to the War of 1812. Many who have gone into Olde Towne have described the feeling like "walking into a real life Children of the Corn." The residents aren't too fond of strangers, though they appear to have grown used to those who live in War Time and New Town districts. Docks District is nearly as old as Olde Towne. It has a few homes but most importantly it has the small harbour and a storage facility. During the Civil War, the docks were used as a way station along the Underground Railroad and munitions were often brought into the docks for Union troops who would be stationed in Myst Haven. War Time district was developed at the end of the Second World War. It was hoped that an influx of people would flock to Myst Haven for the quiet living and good fishing from the lake. One hundred homes were planned, but only six were built. The village offices, public works and the hydro electric station was also built in this area. The village office itself has the original plans for the 100 homes and where they were to be built. There was to be an airstrip built, but like 94 of the homes, it never came to be. Almost all of the public services are contained in War Time district including: Village Offices Public Library Public Works Myst Haven Hydro Energy (being built) Department of Motor Vehicles (being built) New Town district was built in the last 30 years. Made almost entirely of a business district, New Town has become the hub of the small village. The businesses include: Go Go Coffee Myst Haven Fine Foods Bank Fat Tony's Eatery Carl's Autobody Icon Clothier Hammond Travel Harold's Hair Cuts (being built) Rothman's Home & Agro (being built) New Town also contains some offices of public service including: Myst Haven Police Department Myst Haven Health Centre (being built) Moth Cemetery is located at the centre of Myst Haven. The cemetery isn't used today as it's considered more an historic site. The cemetery has been in this exact spot since the War of Independence, yet there is no evidence of a settlement surrounding the cemetery. Many of the graves date back to several years before 1776. Currently, the closest cemetery being used is near Salamanca, and the graveyard of the Olde Towne Church, used almost exclusively by reisdents of Olde Towne. As always, base code is MYSTHAVEN-16373
  5. Made a few updates to the base for the FISHINGHOLE. Lots of other changes made to the base as well. Check it out, the base code remains the same. FISHINGHOLE-13711.
  6. That's cool, as I made this base on my Skyrim character I made on HC. Thradra N'Tir, Dunmer sneak thief, former member of the Morag Tong, destroyer of the Dark Brotherhood, adamantly against both sides in the Civil War, member of the Bard's College, owner of Severin Manor, spelunker into Dwemer ruins and member of the Dawnguard. And here she is from Skyrim.
  7. The Bardès Hideaway. A massive tribute to Skyrim-Oblivion. More in the spoiler! A few things not seen in those screenshots; a mine entrance which I'll be creating an interior for (just like with the dwemer ruins), there's a saw mill and tavern, three other buildings including a blacksmith and an alchemist shack, a central island that you can get to from a row boat which has a larger fishing shack, over 200 trees, several yellow, red and blue mountains flowers, mushrooms on the island, and somewhere in the midst of it all is a nirnroot hidden away. No glow or hum as nirnroots do in The Elder Scrolls, but there's one there. Stuff for future; the afforementioned dwemer and mine interiors, an interior to the fishing shack and a possible tribute to Morrowind with a floating rock above the main area. Also when entering the base, I've found either this works great... ...or this. And, very important, if anyone wants to visit the base, it's on Everlasting and the basecode is BARD-16676.
  8. NAME: Infiltrators/The Rebel's Helm ALIGNMENT: Vigilante/Hero SERVER: Everlasting ROLEPLAY FRIENDLY: Yes RECRUITMENT OFFICERS: Ballistic Witch (@lady skald) RECRUITMENT MESSAGE (message is seen as a flyer posted on university campus in Steel Canyon, Croatoa, Founder's Fall and Cap au Diab, as well as various locations such as Pocket D, The Midnighters' Club, Paragon Dance Party, Atlas Park City Hall) Looking for an exciting job in a tropical location? Then the Rebel's Helm Tavern is for you! Located on the northern tip of the Bermuda Triangle, the Rebel's Helm is part of a small chain of islands. The Rebel's Helm is a traditional Irish pub, so those with experience in the restaurant industry are encouraged to apply. Cooks, bartenders, waiters and waitresses are needed. Grand opening will be soon. Housing will be provided. Contact Alysia McBride for more information about this opportunity. (those with magical affinity will notice there are two enchantments on the flyer, one seems to be playing Rupert Holmes' Escape to the person reading the flyer which is heard by anyone, magical affinity or not. The other enchantment is only sensed by those with magical abilities and a deep knowledge of the arcane. Those people would get a second message in the flyer.) Let's be real. The Rebel's Helm is a front. I need partners in recovery and reclamation of magical objects from those who would happen to have nefarious purposes. I contract out to the Midnighters, but I also take side jobs, and even go out based on rumours. I need allies willing to help in recovering magical items. What happens to those items is to be determined upon retrieval. Should this be of interest to you, contact me, Alysia McBride, a.k.a. the Ballistic Witch. We can meet in Talos Island harbour and travel to the Highwayman's Rock where the Rebel's Helm is located.
  9. OH! So torn between Myst Haven and Highwayman's Rock. I'll go with Highwayman's Rock, because Myst Haven is far from complete. Character: Ballistic WitchGlobal: @lady skaldSG: InfiltratorsShard: EverlastingPasscode: FISHINGHOLE-13711Contributors: @lady skald A lot has been added since these five screenshots, including a beach house, washed up pirate ship, the Rebel's Helm pub, communications towers, a magical laboratory, separate room for a teleportation grid to hit every zone in Paragon, as well as a nice little sitting area near the garden. Make sure to turn vis_scale up to at least 5.
  10. So first I made a character based on the flag that represents Francaphones in Saskatchewan. Then I made her a base. In a continued challenge of packing everything into just one room.
  11. I wanted to see if I could make the basic amenities for a base in just one room. So I managed to do it for my character Canadienne. Base code is SEVENYEARS-16685.
  12. I have finished (for now) the island retreat, which is named Highwayman's Rock. Complete with a pub. Just need to put in the teleport to get to the island with the pub on it. As I've been having issues with taking screenshots, if you want to check it out the passcode is FISHINGHOLE-13711 on Everlasting.
  13. I am working on some new additions for the island, which has since been named Highwayman's Rock (thanks to Sol and Nova). Working on a pub (called the Rebel's Helm), a few small islands (with circling sharks!) and expanding the area of the water. I'll post up screenshots as soon as it's all done, which I'm hoping is tonight.
  14. Went and completely remodelled the fishing hole. The code to get in and take a tour is still FISHINGHOLE-13711.
  15. Longbow interview Subject: Mairanne Wallcott Agent compromised, injured, broken wrist, shattered knee cap (after a short struggle, Agent is subdued) Wallcott: What exactly is a Longbow Agent doing in Rat City? Agent: I'll be the one asking the questions, Sister White. Wallcott: I don't go by that name anymore, Agent. And I seriously doubt you're in any condition to be making demands. So I'll ask again politely, what are you doing here? Agent: Watching you. How did you figure it out? Wallcott: The people living here have been doing so for over ten years. They can sniff out Longbow or Arachnos easily. They knew who you were the second you showed up. Agent: You're putting these people in danger with your presence, you know. Wallcott: From the Knives? I doubt it. They don't come to Port Oakes. Agent: From Arachnos. They know you're here. They'll be coming for you. Wallcott: And you're here to protect us? Agent: We can get you out of the Rogue Isles. Get you back to Paragon. Wallcott: All of us? Agent: Just you. Wallcott: No deal. I don't move without anyone else. You can make a show of good faith, however, and get some of the orphans down here back to Paragon. Agent: Why the children? Wallcott: Have you seen what is called an orphanage here in the Isles? It's a training program. Children taken in to become Arachnos soldiers, Widows, Fortunatas. These children are already traumatized with the unfortunate happenstance of being born in the Rogue Isles. Agent: And should they fall victim to the Skulls or Hellions? Join up with those gangs should things not work out for them? Wallcott: It's a possibility, but at least Skulls and Hellions take care of their own and their communities. Better for them there than to end up on an operating table becoming the next experiment for high and mighty Lord Recluse. Agent: And if we do? If we get the kids back to Paragon, what'll you do for us? Wallcott: That's a show of good faith, Agent. If you do that, and none of those children become indoctrinated into Longbow, then we'll talk more. Until then, it's best you never return to Rat City. Recording ended. Several days later a smuggler's ship arrived to take a dozen children from Rat City. Packed away in cargo shipping containers, they safely made their way to Paragon city.
  16. Lognbow interview Subject: Jonathan Tiberius Walker Agent compromised, unharmed (Agent was sitting in the Go Go Coffee restaurant, approached by subject and two deputies) Gonzalez: Move over, ese. (Agent moves over to accommodate Deputy Gonzalez) Agent: Um, deputy this is ... O'Connely: I'll take the inside, Sheriff. Walker: Alright, Becca. Rosie, can we get some coffees over here, please. Gonzalez: And a fully loaded burger, fries an' gravy, please, Rosie. Agent: So... where's Deputy Horns... Walker: Today's the day o' the week when citizens of Olde Towne come in to the strip to shop. They're pretty old fashioned, and Horns, what bein' a former Hellion an' a demon ta boot, I decided probably best if he had the day off. O'Connely: Horns is working on his painting. I'm hoping he can display some in the new gallery being built. He's really good. (O'Connely smiles and seems quite polite, Rosie, the owner of the establishment brings around coffees and Gonzalez's burger) Agent: That's a pretty good looking burger. Gonzalez: Better than Up-N-Away burgers back in Paragon. Walker: I wager y'all know each of us, Gonzalez a former Skull, Becca here's a witch who was with the Cabal, an' I'm former Malta. Now, who in the hell are you, an' what in the hell are ya doin' here? Wait, scratch that, I think I got a pretty good idea 'bout the second part o' that question. Agent: Longbow needs to know of the movements of former dangerous agents with rogue affiliations. Walker: Do we look like we're a danger ta you, Agent? (Longbow Agent shakes his head and mutters "no") Probably b'cause each of us 'round these parts just wants ta live our lives. Everyone here has a secret, an' we all know what they are. Tony's ex-Family, Rosie an' Carl used ta work for Crey. Hell, we got two Midnighters here. Gonzalez: Longbow ain't thinkin' of movin' in, are they? 'Cause that would be a bad move, hombre. Agent: Is that a threat, deputy? Walker: Ain't a threat, Agent. It's a fact. Why do you think when we're all so open about our pasts here, that Malta, Skulls, Hellions 'r even Cabal ain't come down ta 'collect,' so ta speak? (Agent shakes his head) Because there's somethin' 'bout this place that hides us all. Look, we just wanna live our lives in peace, an' we've all found someplace ta do that, so you go back ta Longbow an' tell 'em everybody here is fine an' we don't need anybody watchin' over us. We ain't 'bout ta try an' take over the world. Agent: Look, each of you were once members of rogue organizations, we have to take precautions... Gonzalez: I think you got enough things to worry about, like spiders, ese. Walker: Robbie's got a point. So whyn't you finish your coffee, have a burger, maybe stop for pasta over at Tony's or take in some fishin' down at the lake. (Walker gets to his feet, waits for Becca to get up before putting on his stetson). Just stay outta Olde Towne. Gonzalez: Awesome burger as always, Rosie. (Rosie calls out with "Everytime, Robbie. You three take care, now.") Agent: Question, Walker. (Walker sighs and nods) How did you know? Walker: How didn't we know, Agent. Gonzalez: Everyone in town figured you out the second you walked in. Carl phoned us up about twenty minutes ago. Walker: We decided ta wait a bit, an' see what ya did. O'Connely: Nice to meet you, by the way. Walker: You enjoy your time in Myst Haven, ya hear. Recording ended. Agent reported catching a three pound lake trout. May come back again when off duty, just for the fishing.
  17. Longbow interview Subject: Alysia McBride Agent compromised, unharmed McBride: Jaysus, lad! Ye shoulda read the signs, steppin' too close ta the edge of the pond, ye could fall in. Agent: Yeah, I ... just ... everything makes you kind of forget things here. McBride: Aye, it's me own pocket dimension carved out. Plus a wee bit o' Narnia in me back alleyway in the King's Row apartment I rent. Agent: Must be awfully expensive if you've got a gateway to... well, this. McBride: Shite, lad, me landlord was ready ta give it away. No one willin' ta move in for over five years. Why not come up ta the fire an' dry off. Ye catch any fish? Agent: No, unfortunately. McBride: Takes a wee pit o' patience ta fish. Ya like a drink while ye dry off? Agent: Um... sure. I guess. McBride: Good. I've got poitin. Irish moonshine. It'll get a literal brick wall drunk. (McBride pours one out for the Agent) Agent: Um... I'm not so sure, I'm... McBride: Aye, yer on duty. You Longbow agents think yer all sneaky, but let's honest, if ye come inta this place, it's not so secret. Agent: That obvious? McBride: A fox in a henhouse has a better chance o' not bein' noticed, lad. Agent: I guess I'll have to work on that. I do have some questions for you, if you don't mind. McBride: Go ahead, lad. This should be real good crack! (before the questions begins, McBride raises her glass to the Agent and states "Sláinte." Agent: What's that mean? McBride: It's Irish for good health. An' after a few o' these, lad, yer gonna need it. Agent: What...? McBride: Oh, fer cryin' out loud, it's no' poison, lad. It's poitin. If yer not used ta it, yer in for a ride. Agent: ... maybe just the one glass then. So, I'm aware that you are familiar with a Jonathan Walker. McBride: Who? Agent: He also went by Operative Violet Rose Bravo. McBride: OH! Aye, him I know. Or I know of. A Texan. Knew me father pretty well. Agent: According to what we know, your father and Walker had a fight in 2012. After the extraction of an undercover agent, Raz Amir. McBride: Oh, I remember that. Me father is, what ye might call a true believer. Probably come from his Catholic upbringin'. Anyway, Rose ... or Walker as ye call 'im, they brought this Arab man inta the house, gave him some cash and cut him loose, sent him on his way. Me father was mad as a hatter, started screamin' at Rose. Rose had a firm tone ta 'im even though me father was pissed as hell. While all o' that's goin' on, my ma took me an' me younger sister out ta the back garden where we had a discussion. Me older brother had lost his fookin' mind an' joined Malta a year b'fore an' ma explained father wanted that fer us too. Agent: Is that when you ... *burps* ...holy shit this stuff is nasty! McBride: That'll grow hair on yer fookin' chest, lad! Agent: Um, yeah. So... so this is when you also met Sister White? McBride: I have no idea who that is, lad. Agent: According to our... to our report, Sister White was with Walker the night they landed in Donegal. And it's believed... (at this point, the Agent passes out, there is a rustling noise) McBride: Ye left yer tape recorder on, lad. C'mon, let's get you layin' down. Gonna have a massive hangover in the mornin'. Jaysus, you Longbow are lightweights. Recording ended. Agent was unharmed, but suffered a terrible hangover the next day. Longbow should note that the beverage poitin is highly alcoholic, and while there are many legitimate distillers in Ireland, there's also a great number of people who distill poitin in back sheds. McBride is believed to be one of them.
  18. Longbow report: 7A-20200731-MH Submitted: July 31, 2020 Agents in the field have reported recent movement by former Malta agents. It appears as though a play is about to be made, though it is unknown what it is at this present point in time. The following report will detail the players involved, especially those of heavy interest. Subject: Operative Violet Rose Bravo Real Name: Jonathan Tiberius Walker Age: 64 years old Place of birth: San Antonio, Texas Walker is a former Ranger who served time in the Persian Gulf and Somalia. It is reported that at age 16 he lied about his age and identity, using his brother's ID in order to enlist during the Vietnam conflict. After his service during Somalia, it is believed he was given a dishonourable discharge for events at this time kept secret. It is believed Walker was merely used as a scapegoat in order for his recruitment into Malta. Most of his time in Malta is kept under wraps, though there are two incidents which have been reported. The first happened in Columbus, Ohio, when the Malta cell was engaged with two known superheroes called Hawk's Scream and Grey Kestrel. The latter is an agent for the Canadian Secret Intelligence Service: Paranormal Division. Thanks to affiliations with CSIS, Longbow managed to acquire the entire crew working with Walker, a.k.a. Operative Violet Rose Bravo. They are as follows; Omega Six: Malcolm Montgomery Watt, Perth Australia. Indigo Beta: Isabella Colleoni, Venice, Italy Crimson Luna: Chelsea Morgan, Shreveport, Louisiana Grey 6-2-6: Kevin Wau, San Francisco, California The second incident happened in Dubai, UAE. Reports state that Walker's group managed to smuggle a known figure who had been observing activities within the Taliban and ISIS for several years. Walker's group was hired to assist in the extraction of Raz Amir and deliver him to American authorities. The extraction took place, but it is reported Amir was cut loose in Donegal, Republic of Ireland. It is believed that Walker had an acquaintance living in Donegal. It is believed to be of the McBride family (please see report 58-20200609-FH). As of 2012, the Malta group known as the Red Hand have been disbanded. All agents listed above simply disappeared, with the exception of two. The first being Chelsea Morgan who is now the Assistant District Attorney for the city of Raven Port, Maine. She has also been observed to patrol Raven Port with her sister. Together they are known as Bowhuntress and Free Spirit (a.k.a. Yolanda Morgan). Yolanda Morgan is also a member of the Raven Port Police Department, acting as a detective and forensic psychologist. Longbow advises to leave Chelsea Morgan until she makes contact with us. The second was Walker. Walker began a successful private investigative agency in Steel Canyon which ran until June of 2020. At that time he relinquished control to one of his partners, Dixon Lee. Walker accepted, at the time, the sheriff's position in Myst Haven, already a known hot spot for former criminal affiliates and of supernatural activity. At present, two Midnighters are stationed in Myst Haven to observe the local supernatural phenomenon. As for Walker, time will only tell what he is doing as sheriff in Myst Haven. Walker is known to be a tough individual to take down. He's a cowboy, that is know, as he uses a pair of tactical pistols. He has retained his teleportation unit to this day that was issued to him when he joined Malta. He also packs a pretty good punch. Longbow Report: 6Z-20200715-RC Submitted: July 15, 2020 Agents in the field stationed in the Rogue Isles have discovered the movements of a former Knives of Artemis agent. Details as follows; Name: Sister White Real Name: Marianne Wallcott Age: 37 Place of Birth: Manchester, England The Wallcott family is well known in political circles, considering that Reginald Wallcott currently holds the seat in parliament for the Labour Party. The Wallcott's have three daughters, the oldest is the late Maxine Wallcott who once acted as a liaison for Donelda Stewart, CEO of Stewart Industries located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Marianne is the middle child, the youngest being Eleanor Wallcott. The youngest Wallcott has taken up the position of liaison for Donelda Stewart since the death of Maxine. Wallcott is believed to have been recruited by the Knives of Artemis right out of university. She attended Oxford where she majored in political science and minored in business administration. This was as of 2007. She was known to associate with four other Knives quite closely. Sister Eventide: Darla Drobsky, Kiev, Ukraine Sister Jade: Claire Jackson, Montgomery, Alabama Sister Heraldry: Gwenevier Xanthe, Berlin, Germany (deceased) Sister Clementine: Greta Thorstrum, Oslo, Norway As of 2012, this small group has been disbanded. It is believed the four left shortly after an operation in Dubai, UEA (see file 7A-20200731-MH) which may have caused the death of Sister Heraldry. Since this incident, the other four agents have disappeared, until now. As of July 2020, Sister White has been seen in Port Oakes, Rogue Isles. Current observation has shown that she has purchased a series of warehouses on the northern shore of the island. Undercover operatives have also discovered Sister White has become a part of a secret underground community in an underground city called Rat City. At present, the city has existed for the past ten years, with people wanting to hide from Arachnos living there. It is believed Sister White knows of the presence of our agent, but as of yet has not made a move. Advised to continue with observation at this time. Sister White is a more than capable marksman, using a pair of British army issue pistols. She is also a student of deception and can wield a sword with some skill. Longbow Report: 58-20200609-FH Submitted: June 9, 2020 Agents stationed in Paragon City have made note of the movement of a person of interest. Name: Hexen Bullet/Hexen Spider Real Name: Alysia McBride Age: 25 Place of birth: Donegal, Republic of Ireland It is believed Alysia McBride is considered to be a modern day witch. While she has associated with the Cabal of Croatoa, she has maintained good relations with organizations such as the Midnighters, Longbow and Vanguard. Seemingly having an ability to move freely between Paragon City and the Rogue Isles, she also has an ability to move between planes. Agents have observed that her apartment in King's Row also happens to contain a rift through dimensions where upon entering is the most beautiful landscape. A small fishing pond, tiny living area, spots of relaxation and amazingly an employee of the Icon clothing stores. McBride herself has encountered these agents and seems unphased by their constant observation, willingly answering questions posed to her. Of questions posed to her; she knows Walker (see file 7A-20200731-MH) as her father had an association with Walker going back several decades. She did not learn how to use her tactical pistols under Walker's tutelage. She learned on her own. At one time her father wanted her to join Malta, but her mother (a known pagan and witch) had other ideas, making sure to help the young Alysia leave Ireland when she was 18 years old. She either vaguely knows Sister White (see file 6Z-20200715-RC) or does not know her at all. She was present when Raz Amir was brought to Donegal where he was released and sent on his way. McBride's father and Walker had an argument, whereby she entailed that this is the moment Walker officially quite Malta and disbanded the Red Hand. It was also at this moment McBride's mother began making preparations for Alysia to leave Donegal so she would not be enlisted by either Malta or the Knives of Artemis. Alysia McBride is a witch, and skilled with illusion and fire magic. Which is why many Longbow agents show confusion with McBride's more than capable use of a pair of pistols. At present, she is working for the Midnighters in recovering magical artefacts across Paragon City and the Rogue Isles. ((Violet Rose Bravo is a dual pistols/invuln Sentinel with teleportation and fighting, Sister White is a dual pistols/ninja training Blaster with experimentation, Hexen Bullet is a dual pistols/energy manipulation Blaster with sorcery and medicine. Hexen Spider, which is another alias of Alysia's, is an Arachnos Spider to go with roleplay that Alysia goes undercover to acquire magic items in the Rogue Isles. Hexen Spider is level 6 and only has sorcery flight at present. The above videos are theme songs for each of the characters. All three characters are ones I have built bases for, though Myst Haven is in the middle of renos right now. Though, they are open for touring. MYSTHAVEN-16373, RATCITY-16258, FISHINGHOLE-13711. It should be noted that Myst Haven is far from complete as I still have two complete districts to finish. Rat City is pretty much done though with room to expand in the future. While all of this is for player's entertainment purposes and a way to get to know the character's, it's also a way for me to keep things straight or else I'll forget and cause huge rifts of discontinuity with the space time continuum.))
  19. Back to the Fishin' Hole, I really wanted to make an interior apartment for my character Hexen Bullet with this base. The outdoor area around the pond was great, but I also wanted an inside area that had some storage, work tables, and other amenities that would make it look like a livable place. But I was having a lot of issues with the teleporter. So, I went Narnia all up in this thing!
  20. Welcome to Myst Haven. Myst Haven is my latest base construction. It's a small town that's located about ten to fifteen miles north of Salamanca (Croatoa). It has a Mayberry feel to it, if Mayberry had an eerie and dark side to it. Almost everyone in Myst Haven has a dark secret. Like Tony Morello, the owner of Tony's bar & grill was once a member of the Family, did a dime in the Zig, but turned State's evidence on one of his cohorts when Tony discovered he was a pedophile. He came to Myst Haven to get away, and the fact that he can cook a mean fettuccine alfredo only meant the restaurant business was made for him. Pasta, local microbrews, billiards, video games and pinball, Tony's is an atmosphere of welcoming and togetherness. There's even two rooms above the bar to rent out. Or Carl Hillberg, owner of Carl's Automotive Repair. Carl had a master's degree in biomechanical engineering and was picked up by Crey almost immediately after he was done his studies. His work included the melding of man and machine, but his moral conscious took hold of him one day, and he released the test subjects from a Crey lab in Brickstown. He ran, going north and wound up in Myst Haven. Since that day a few decades ago, Carl has run his automotive shop with regular peace and quiet. There's Rosie Simms who owns Go Go Coffee on the strip. A former Crey infiltrator, when she ditched and ran from the organization, she got a lot of help from Carl. Now she serves up the best coffee around along with some mighty fine burgers. Elijah Uumbato, a former Sky Raider, he wanted out. He was tired of the fighting, tired of everything. He needed something quiet. What was quieter than opening Myst Haven Fine Foods, a grocery specializing in selling locally grown products. Even members of the Myst Haven Police have their own pasts. Rebeca O'Connelly, a former witch of the Cabal who was kicked out because she was too nice, she's the deputy sheriff of Myst Haven. Robert Gonzalez, once a bone daddy with the Skulls, he cut and run, taking refuge in Myst Haven until his life became full of irony. He's not alone, as he's joined on the force by Horns. That's just his name, the only name anyone knows him by. Horns is a former Hellion, a summoned demon who had too much of a conscious in him. If there's one thing, a Hellion with too much of a conscious can get you killed fast. And now, there's a new sheriff in town. Jonathan Tiberius Walker, formerly known as Violet Rose Bravo of Malta. Welcome to Myst Haven. ((I made up the backstory of Myst Haven and each of those characters while building the base. It's not really done, as I may expand in the future to add a small residential area and a dock. If anyone wants to take a look, the base code is MYSTHAVEN-16373.))
  21. A few additions and such to the Fishing Hole.
  22. I went and created a fishing hole for my character Hexen Bullet. Just a small place to chill out in. If you would like to check it out, it's a very tiny place called FISHINGHOLE-13711

  24. The History of Seven Years of Blood - Controversy, Another Hiatus, and Poets - A band that has courted the edges of what would be polite society hasn't been without their share of controversy. Two years after Dominique and Michelle were married, the pair were featured in one of the last print runs of Playboy in a full photo spread. This was a much more tasteful follow up to a spread the two were involved in when they appeared in Maxim magazine. Not every interview the group has been involved in was a gentleman's magazine. Featured in smaller publications in Quebec, then spreading out across Canada before finally appearing in Kerrang!, Spin and Rolling Stone. The band was even discussed in a TSN "Where Are They Now" featurette on Marcus Cromwell. From interviews with the Village Voice to Out magazine, the band members seemed extremely open not only about their individual lifestyle but also their political leaning. Shortly after the release of You Hate My Anger, Yves and Jacqueline both announced a small split from the band. Not with any disagreements, but to pursue their own dreams. Yves was given the opportunity to conduct the Edmonton Philharmonic Orchestra after Seven Years of Blood performed Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium with the aforementioned orchestra. Jacqueline was fortunate to join the Canadian Opera Company as the major soloist for a season. As the twins went to chase their dreams, however, they did not forget the band. Stating that this would give them a much needed break physically and mentally as they had been touring non-stop for two years. The four remaining members also decided it might not be a bad idea to slow things down a bit. And almost in tribute to the at the time recent passing of Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip, the band Poets was created. With a greater leaning on an alt rock style, the band's first album was simply entitled A Series of Covers, as the album was almost like a test for them. Performing songs from Tom Cochrane to the Tragically Hip to the Northern Pikes, Poets seemed far more mellow than Seven Years of Blood. Many critics wondered if Poets would go the same way as Blanc Noir and later Seven Years of Blood. But the second album, while still holding that political voice that they even had in the first album of covers, still held that same slow vibe as the previous. Anyone, however, who thought that the four were getting soft were very, very wrong. After the Poets released two albums, Seven Years of Blood came back with a vengeance. Releasing a four disc set with over eight hours of music entitled We're Not Going Anywhere, the band proved they really weren't going anywhere. The small hiatus and the side project of Poets allowed them all to refocus and refresh themselves after touring for such a lengthy period of time. The band is currently on tour promoting the album.
  25. The History of Seven Years of Blood - The Marriage and the BLM Movement - **********HEAVY LANGUAGE WARNING********** Seven Years of Blood was becoming a household name across Canada and parts of the United States in the metal scene. They became more and more harder edged in their concerts and became vocal and very loud in their politics. During this time, Dominique Turgeon and Michelle Villeneauve, who were always very open about their relationship since high school, announced their marriage. It was a joint Protestant/Jewish wedding that was a private ceremony only attended by family and friends. Still, this, along with the addition of their manager who was an open transwoman (and a member of the costumed crime fighter community... if that's a thing), only added fuel to the fire of all the wrong people. Seven Years of Blood began losing fan support in certain areas, but were surprisingly gaining support from such artists as Snoop Dogg, Beyonce and Melissa Ethridge. The band members showed up to BLM protests, not to perform, but to show support and use the privilege of their fame as a shield for the protestors. At this time, the band members were targeted by unknown sources who had connections to different white supremacist organizations. Marcus Cromwell put it bluntly: The band found they were losing concert dates and being given cancellations for being "too political." But as Dominique Turgeon said: While this new kind of fame, or infamy, wasn't unexpected, the band pushed on. A small restructuring after a year, and they released three more albums that held not only a harder edge, but also took advantage of Jacqueline's operatic style. Both Raven and Dominique also took up new instruments with the cello and violin to add to the more operatic sound. They were now being compared to the likes of Rammstein, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Arch Enemy and Epica. Fittingly, the three albums release were almost all considered protest ablums with the majority of proceeds made sent to groups like BLM, NoDAPL and those in British Columbia protesting the TransCanada Pipeline. They were in order Resist, BLM and You Hate My Anger. The last album was again banned in the United States for a time (even though digital copies were downloaded) as the album cover depicted a burning Confederate flag.
